Random thought.... I know that I've got some noisey lifters that rattle between 3000-5000rpm. Is there some random chance that the knock sensor is picking up on this and retarding the timing? Just a shot in the dark. I poured a bottle of octane boost in there just now so I'll see if it gets any bett...

I'm not entirely sure how old the plugs are nor the brand. I do know that they were replaced recently, but not too sure how many miles ago that was. As for the gas, it isn't all that old. I drove from Oklahoma to Indiana and then to North Carolina... So I'm pretty sure any old fuel it cleared out. A...

Plugs and wires shouldn't be that old, but I'll check. It's really odd. It almost feels like a governer trying to restrict the power until it hits high RPMs

engine lag

Been a while since I posted here. Recently got my Neon back from being stationed in Germany. Here's the deal, and I can't quite nail it down. There's an interesting lag from 3000-5000rpm during WOT. She screams out of the gate and above 5000. I feel a slight shudder too. Seems like she's either over...

The PN on the connector that I have is 4759529AA. It has a square connector on the changer side and a round 8 pin connector on the radio side. Now like what has been said, this does not work on the 02+ head units. So I hope that the 841AA works on both ends. I willing to venture out and say that it ...

When I did my endlinks for my stock struts I found that the collar that goes on there can come apart in three pieces. So went down to the local bolt store (not home depot- a real hardware store) and got some grade 8 bolts that were the right length then figured out the right length on the collars, p...

Hey, BRR do you know if this harness will work on my application? I just picked up a 4 disk changer from a 00 PL PN 4858522AF The harness that came with it is a PN 4759529AA. But that connector won't work with my radio. So will the 841AA work with my changer and H/U? Just wanna double check before I...

You mean SRT? Thats what I'm really leaning towards. Can anyone tell me the actual ride difference between those and stock SXT or SE springs? Yeah, there is a lot that goes into suspension. Thats pretty much what I focused on since I got the car. I've got 1st gen ACR springs on stock struts. 24mm front sway bar, 19mm rear R/T sway bar. Front and rear strut tower bars. Super light wheels and I think 4mm spacers on the rear wheels. The only...
