Re: 2002 R/T Build V2

It’s pretty obvious in person. The lip is folded flat in the spot I was rubbing and the fender is pulled out about a quarter of an inch. No more rubbing in the front so far. I’m rolling the rears because they’re also rubbing. I took a corner really hot the other day and I put a groove into the left ...

Re: 2002 R/T Build V2

So here's the fender before: https://i.imgur.com/DQXckUrh.jpg And here it is after: https://i.imgur.com/DF722K7h.jpg The pictures really don't show it as well as I can see in person. It's a pretty tiny difference, but I think it's noticeable. Looking down, you can see the bulge, directly over the ti...

Re: 2002 R/T Build V2

I managed to roll one fender last night. The driver's front. I spent the majority of the time figuring everything out, like how the roller works and how to remove the fender liner. The actual rolling only took a few minutes. I ended up "pulling" the fender just a little bit, too. It wasn't intention...

Re: 2002 R/T Build V2

Pretty productive couple of days. First, I installed a set of Prothane short end links: Before: https://i.imgur.com/1U3LI1tl.jpg After: https://i.imgur.com/QZUn9HKl.jpg I noticed my left rear was almost a full inch lower than the right rear. The coilovers either settled unevenly, or they weren't set...

If the drop is small, like one inch with the Mopar springs, your struts will be fine. However, given how old these cars are now, you'd be smart to replace them anyway.

Re: 2002 R/T Build V2

I've been keeping my eye out for a wingless PS2 lid, but haven't found any yet. I grew impatient and just decided to pull the wing off last night. It had water slushing around in it. https://i.imgur.com/q61BAti.jpg https://i.imgur.com/AlcZG3d.jpg https://i.imgur.com/U02zK9b.jpg After I took these pi...

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

I'm still not a fan of white wheels, but I definitely appreciate the effort to get them to actually match the car. Overall, it looks really clean. Wing delete is perfect. I've been on the lookout for a clean silver lid for mine since I bought it.

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

Wingless FTW! That was my favorite visual mod on my SRT. How do you like the Hotchkis sways? Given the amount of rub I'm getting around sharp corners, I'm obviously getting some roll and I've been thinking about that setup. I thought the R/T setup would be perfect, but I'm finding the need for somet...

Re: Rubbing issue. Input please!

I measured the height of the car on both sides and the passenger side was actually half an inch lower than the driver's side. BC's out of the box, zero height adjustment at that point. So I raised the passenger side up to match and then raised them both another quarter of an inch and my rubs are 90%...

Re: 2002 R/T Build V2

That’s what I was going for. Thanks. I installed a set of reconditioned fuel injectors yesterday. The car was feeling a little sluggish from time to time, like there was hesitation under load. It was becoming more frequent, along with an occasional backfire from the intake. One of the only things I ...

Re: 2002 R/T Build V2

They came out a little darker than I was expecting and the glossifier didn't make them super shiny, but overall I like them. Another reason I used Plasti Dip instead of paint; I can always peel it off if I change my mind. I have one picture of the whole car, but it's too dark and makes the rims look...

Re: 2002 R/T Build V2

Update on the rubbing issue. Yesterday, I raised the front end by about half an inch. Then I set the camber plates to -1 and folded over the fender lips where the tires were touching on both sides. So far, I believe the rubbing is gone. I'm going to have it aligned again. I did notice some rubbing i...

Re: Rubbing issue. Input please!

So, I set the front to -1 degree of camber and I raised it about half an inch. Then I folded over that front area of the fenders that were making contact and I believe the rubs are now gone. Just FYI.

Re: 2002 R/T Build V2

Thanks. I've wanted a set of these for years. I was originally going to make them grey, like the stock wheels. Then I decided to do something different and purchased some Volcano Red Plasti Dip and glossifier. I'm using Plasti Dip in case I end up not liking it. That way I can just peel it off. Righ...

Re: Help me to pick a new car

I've felt like they haven't had shit to offer in the small car market since they killed the Neon. I'm sorry, but the Caliber and Dart did absolutely nothing for me. Do not want. I would, however, drive the shit out of a 124 Abarth. The whole three kids thing means I can't have one, but man...they lo...

Re: Help me to pick a new car

It's a mildly detuned version of the Civic Type R engine. I'm sure you could probably get it up to R power with just a tune. I still think the old manual V6 coupe was the best version, but the new one is pretty nice. Remember when the 13.9-second SRT-4 was crazy fast? Now the average Accord almost r...
