Re: Happy birthday TNK!

I've met Mike a few times. He lives in the Eastern side of the state, so I don't see him often.

I run my wheels without center caps. I think it's fine, depending on the wheel.

They look great. I was going to suggest something from Konig. They make some cool wheels that don't weigh or cost too much.

Re: 2003 SRT

The RPF1s actually come in a color called SBC that has a black chrome look to it. Sadly, they don't make them in this bolt pattern. Otherwise I would already have them. I am definitely leaning toward grey, just to have something less ordinary. I am staying home unpaid, voluntarily. It is kind of rou...

Re: 2003 SRT

I had a few hundred bucks to spend on the car, but then this virus thing happened and I've been without pay for weeks. Kiss the spending money goodbye. In my boredom, I've decided to paint the RPF1s. No more Plasti Dip. I'm trying to decide between the grey that I had painted my Silverstones on the ...

My employer is claiming to be essential, but I think it's bullshit. I've been staying home anyway, without pay. It's a little sketchy. No working from home, which really sucks.

Re: 2003 SRT

There is certainly more to go wrong with a turbo car. There are many days I miss the simplicity of my old R/T. Then I drive the car, hit the gas, and forget all about the NA Neon. Boost is really addictive.

Those are aftermarket. I think they're made by american racing. They're usually pretty cheap and lightweight. I can't remember the name off the top of my head.

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

The amount of trouble that turbo has put you through, really sucks. I hope it can be resolved without a ton of effort and that the car gets back up to it's peak power. I'm always impressed with how clean your engine bay is. It looks good.

Re: Perfect sleeper wheels?

Most people know what Slipstreams are and will recognized them. They're still pretty plain wheels and lightweight to boot. Not a bad choice overall, but don't fool yourself into thinking they'll be completely under the radar.

This car sold last week to a guy who works in a body shop. The car is fixed and roadworthy already, which is pretty cool.

SOLD!

A nice guy bought the car night before last and drove it home. He works at a body shop and is hoping to put it back together and drive it. Maybe make a track car out of it. I'm excited to know that it's going to someone who will bring it back from the dead instead of parting it out.

Re: 2002 Neon R/T

A prospective buyer brought a battery to check it out last night. The car fired right up and purred like it hadn't been sitting for a year and a half. Such a great car. He said he needs to put some money together and that he's really interested, but in all honesty, I'll probably never see him again....

I debadged it yesterday. My thumbs still hurt. https://i.imgur.com/SsV256il.jpg Someone had pulled the "O" in Dodge off the back and used sliver nail polish to paint the leftover adhesive. As a result, it looked like all the letters were there from a distance, but it looked like shit up close. My so...

The frame is tweaked in the rear, the trunk doesn't seal anymore and it's stuck shut. The tail light doesn't work anymore, either. It's not exactly road legal.

Re: 2002 R/T Built to Death

Yeah, the neck stuff was minor and insurance paid out just fine.

I'm trying to sell what's left of the car now. I only removed the wheels, coilovers, CD player, and motor mounts. They were all replaced with stock parts. The rest of the goodies stayed.
