Re: Random posting

I was diagnosed with ADHD about three years ago (at the ripe old age of 37). The medication has been excellent with improving my focus and keeping me awake during work. My ADHD manifested in the form of super inattentiveness. I was always struggling to focus and be productive. I also wanted to sleep...

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

I think I am going to go with a Hyundai Elantra N in ceramic white with the 6 speed manual. I can get one at MSRP. They have to order it, 4-6 month wait. I think that fits my style a bit better. Nice! I think those are really cool cars. I find it really interesting to see how far brands like Hyunda...

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

I'd pick anything but the Camaro. I have a really strong dislike for those cars. I think they're ugly, for one, and the interior is absolutely gross. Easily the cheapest looking interior out of the three pony cars. Good performance for the price? Absolutely. But I have to feel comfortable and confid...

Re: Random posting

On the flip side, I used the money from scrapping Jonny's car to pick up a 92 Ram D150. Formerly a Department of Energy truck from Nevada. It's in astoundingly good shape. It has surface rust, but no frame rot like you'd get from around this way. Post pictures of the truck! Before I bought my Dakot...

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

The car looks great! While I admit I'd be bummed if you got rid of it, I don't really blame you. I like to cycle through project vehicles every few years, so when the itch to change it up eventually happens, the current vehicle is never safe in the driveway. So I get it. Plus, now is an excellent ti...

Re: Happy Birthday JeremyJ!

A dreamy synthpop band called Cannons. It's funny; when I was younger, I was all about metal. As I get older, my taste in music is shifting to much poppier, more mellow stuff. I have no idea why. I grew up listening to classic rock, then new wave, then grunge, then metal, now it's... pop? I don't kn...

Re: The Weather Thread

Third day this week with snow here. We are definitely having an odd weather pattern. I'm just thankful it's not sticking around me. I think it's supposed to warm up this weekend, but still rainy. Whatever. It's better than snow!

Re: The Weather Thread

Well, it did indeed snow yesterday and it stuck in a few places. Not mine, fortunately. It was mostly North of me. But still... snow in April? That's unheard of here. Crazy times.

Ever thought about the clear paint protection film? You could always have it installed on the front bumper alone.

Re: The Weather Thread

Salt. That's another thing I'm so glad I don't have to deal with. There's rust because of how wet it is here, but it's rarely a serious issue. I've also seen a snow/rain mix here as late as April one year, but that was kind of a freak thing. We get our one annual snow dump and maybe a couple of smal...

Re: Street Truck

Well, I have some good news and some bad news about the truck. The good news is that I get to keep it through the divorce. The bad news is that I won't be able to park it at my new place, so it's going to get stored at my parents' house for a while. I'm probably going to remove the insurance and put...

We're in heavy rain season here. It's relatively warm at 50+ during the day, but boy is it wet. At least the threat of snow is gone now. Just lots of greenery and high rivers.

Time for a new job, in my opinion. No one deserves to be treated that way by an employer. Especially not these days. Those policies are some serious bullshit. A note from a doctor should always suffice for missing work. What a bunch of assholes. In my world, my divorce is well underway. We're sellin...

Re: The Weather Thread

We were having dry, sunny days with lows in the teens last week. This week, it's back in the 50's during the day, but we're getting almost 3" of rain per day. I can't wait for summer, when the sun and warmth sync up. I'm done with winter.

All you need is belt 4040440 to bypass. Remove everything, run shorter belt, and done.

Ah, that's a bummer. It's such a cool color. I always wished they'd done a limited run of SRT-4's in NYG.

I think I've only ever seen one NYG in the wild. It was a coupe and I did a major double-take when it drove by. How's the paint holding up on yours? It looks pretty decent from the pics.

Notice the SRT rear bumper and exhaust? It's just crammed on there with the 00-02 tails. Classy.

We hit almost 60 degrees yesterday and it's going to stay in the mid-low 50's for the rest of the week. Sunny weekend incoming, too. Not too bad. We've had a ton of rain lately, though. Lots of flooding and a few slides.

Re: Random posting

Neons are really becoming a bit of a rare sight these days. I usually do a double-take when I see one anymore, even if it's a POS. There's a clean red first gen sedan in my neighborhood that I see regularly and a parent at my kids' school that drives a white SRT. Other than those two, I really don't...

We're finally back into the upper thirties/low forties with rain. Standard NW winter weather. I'm glad to see the snow go away. Although, we had quite a bit of snow last February, so the threat won't be over until spring hits.

Re: The Weather Thread

Another four inches of snow last night. It won't go above freezing until Sunday, I think. We're getting quite the winter this year. Very uncharacteristic for the Northwest. I got four new Yokohamas on the Journey last week. Just in time for the snow. The traction in the snow has been excellent so fa...
