Don't know, I'm in the Midwest so I drive through all sorts of salts and chemicals when it's icy out. Probably the cause.

So update- replaced the rotors and it's smooth as butter now. Woo hoo

I didn't really think the rotors looked too bad but they're so cheap I guess I could start there.

:withstupid: What I am more worried about is the condition of the slider pin boot  You want to replace that. Yeah I think I manhandled it too much trying to blindly line up the bolt :tardbang: Is it a big deal? I'm trying to track down the source of vibration when braking. Pads look like the...

Brake pads beveled near edge?

I can't remember if they were like this when I bought them, I'm thinking almost definitely not. What do you think, are they rubbing on the edge of the rotor?

I found it easier to use a pry bar to remove the clips by leveraging it against the studs on both sides in between the clips and the back of the shifter. No blood or cussing needed.

There was a guy in the FS section selling some blizzaks for dirt cheap but they may not fit with your calipers.

How to remove parking brake lever and cables

The parking brake level looks pretty simple, just two nuts holding it down to the floor board, but how do I remove the cables completely from the vehicle? Disclaimer: I searched this section and the how-to section but came up with nothing. Edit: Nevermind I think this covers everything. Time to read...

You were able to get your off your hood without cracking? I've attempted on two hoods now and both have cracked under the slightest pressure. What are you asking for yours?

Anybody know of a good place to get replacement washer jets?

All I can find are stupid light up ones that are crappy quality and the finish on them flakes off after a few rains.

SRT is great. Minor issue idling after I installed the BOV- I think it's the sensor, but isn't bad enough to replace it

Well I'm still around, and I still have all the parts. My red 05 SXT has 86k miles on it. I'm not sure what my plans are at this point. I guess I'm subconsciously waiting until I'm forced to make a decision, for example if the red one craps out on me.

Definitely IAC. Mine did it for a spell too. I would have to open the throttle to keep it running. The IAC on these cars uses a solenoid that moves a plunger inside the housing. My guess is that the plunger gets stuck (probably from dirt buildup or a bad design) which then causes a no start/no idle...
