1. Take a 12v multimeter and place the red lead onto your main power wire that plugs into the + port on your amp. Take the black lead and touch the frame of your car. Read what it says. It should say 12.something. That verifies that the main power wire is in fact intact from the front of the car all...

gas cap may have something to do with your 441 code but I doubt it. Replace the o2 sensor and call it a day. Also crawl under the rear of the car and look for a square looking canister by the fuel tank on the passenger side. It should have 3 hoses going into it. If one of the hoses has come off put ...

The selection of used manual trans' in central Florida is horrible so doing it cheaply isn't going to happen, just spend the 300 bucks and swap in another auto and fix it. I know a place in Sanford that has a manual cable trans from a 1gn not sure on mileage if your still going to do it. I have done...

Sorry, I was sleeping at the wheel on this one. Vitor's how to is spot on. I used the FSM which is where he got it from. Instead of using that special tool that expands inside the diff, I just used that taped up socket to "make" the special tool. took my inch lbs torque wrench and followed the FSM p...

I believe the correct term is a torque biasing differential... meaning it sends power to the wheel with the best traction, however if one wheel is spinning the other wont spin. so it is still possible to have one wheel spin while the other is stopped. 0x0 still equals zero type thing. lsd is still e...

Thats pretty good info about the stress cracks. As a matter of fact about 2 months ago I did a torque check on all the bolts around the engine bay and sure enough the bolts on the lower support bracket and the rear mid bracket were working themselves loose. It makes perfectly good sense how it all c...

MTX swap trans mount
Guys who did transmission swaps from a 1gn, did you use a 1gn transmission mount or did you get a 2gn trans mount? The reason I asked is I ordered a mtx mount from autozone and it looks just like my auto mount minus one bolt but doesnt match any of the bolts on the mtx from the 1gn. The trans is fro...

well that was my experiance. The issue we had when it was on the dyno was by the time the engine was starting to get into the power band I was hitting the speed limiter. When the speed limiter hits it cuts fuel. Do I think it should have put down more power, yes I do. But unless you can defeat the s...

Back before ASP, hahn was a good turn key system. It still is but the price now is not competitive against the ASP kits. Yes they make a kit for the 2000-2002, and the kit is kinda the same for 2003 up but it costs more because of the port fueler. issues you may have with the install on the auto is ...

Oops, I goofed. input on trans selection with turbo
Ok so I was tooling around the junk yard yesterday finally picking up the transmission that was last on my list for my swap. When I get it home I compared the part number to a chart I saw on the 350hd topic. Only I could go to a junk yard trying to get a plain jane 96-99 3.55 trans and unknowingly c...

hmm, It has a return line and all you can get is 47psi. Yea you should be able to get as high as 90psi if you really wanted to with a walboro and return line... I think first I would take a look at the regulator and make sure some junk didn't get stuck inside. Have you had the pressure over 58psi be...

Just pray it didn't eat out the crank and seats in the process. A good machine shop can tell you if it will bring it out of tolerance after grinding. Your always going to get higher compression psi from a warm engine than a cold engine. We do it with airplanes all the time. If the compression is kinda low (not low low) the we will run it then check it again. Heat causes the rings to expand yada yada. so 150 cold isn't that bad. And like everyone ...

I wont mock you for spelling, and this should probably be in the forced induction area vs the MS. Simple question, have you done the bypass mod to the fuel pump canister in the tank? If you haven't done that, then you will only see stock fuel pressure no matter what you set your FPR at. And yes if y...
