1. Take a 12v multimeter and place the red lead onto your main power wire that plugs into the + port on your amp. Take the black lead and touch the frame of your car. Read what it says. It should say 12.something. That verifies that the main power wire is in fact intact from the front of the car all...

gas cap may have something to do with your 441 code but I doubt it. Replace the o2 sensor and call it a day. Also crawl under the rear of the car and look for a square looking canister by the fuel tank on the passenger side. It should have 3 hoses going into it. If one of the hoses has come off put ...

The selection of used manual trans' in central Florida is horrible so doing it cheaply isn't going to happen, just spend the 300 bucks and swap in another auto and fix it. I know a place in Sanford that has a manual cable trans from a 1gn not sure on mileage if your still going to do it. I have done...

I believe the correct term is a torque biasing differential... meaning it sends power to the wheel with the best traction, however if one wheel is spinning the other wont spin. so it is still possible to have one wheel spin while the other is stopped. 0x0 still equals zero type thing. lsd is still e...

Yeah the information is very widely spread out. Glad I could help. The socket tape tool idea came from a guy, Mr. Tom Vandy from neons.org. I must give credit where credit is due! But now everything is in one place and it doesn't matter if it is a 1gn or a 2gn, the diff is the same.

Good luck

MTX swap trans mount

Guys who did transmission swaps from a 1gn, did you use a 1gn transmission mount or did you get a 2gn trans mount? The reason I asked is I ordered a mtx mount from autozone and it looks just like my auto mount minus one bolt but doesnt match any of the bolts on the mtx from the 1gn. The trans is fro...

There is really no reason to skip the trans cooler in the radiator. My built 3 speed has an external cooler that I ran in line after the radiator. Keeps trans temps in the green where they should be.

That is a good looking trans cooler though, Wish I would have seen it before I picked up mine.

If the thermostat was corroded closed I would pull the water temp sensor also. Its element could have crap in it too. And like the thermostat, their cheap maybe 20ish dollars or so.

the thermostat. Sitting for a while it could be stuck or corroded closed so no coolant would be flowing to radiator. Hopefully you didnt toast anything in the process

Back before ASP, hahn was a good turn key system. It still is but the price now is not competitive against the ASP kits. Yes they make a kit for the 2000-2002, and the kit is kinda the same for 2003 up but it costs more because of the port fueler. issues you may have with the install on the auto is ...

Your always going to get higher compression psi from a warm engine than a cold engine. We do it with airplanes all the time. If the compression is kinda low (not low low) the we will run it then check it again. Heat causes the rings to expand yada yada. so 150 cold isn't that bad. And like everyone ...

I wont mock you for spelling, and this should probably be in the forced induction area vs the MS. Simple question, have you done the bypass mod to the fuel pump canister in the tank? If you haven't done that, then you will only see stock fuel pressure no matter what you set your FPR at. And yes if y...

pull your o2 sensor if you can, let it hang in free air, and push the button to recalibrate it. The innovates your supposed to recalibrate every 6 months or so.

Also there is a rare time that it runs so rich that the sensor will read lean. Limp modes usually dump fuel instead of cut it
