I quit my job recently like a dumbass before lining something else up, but it was still a smart decision because my co-workers did stupidly unsafe stuff that endangered my life daily. Still haven't found anything and savings are burning away quickly. I taught a lady friend how to drive manual on my ...

:laughing3: Yes, I've been driving an employer-provided Jeep Liberty since March 2012 but it is about to be retired. The corporate fleet department has decided that, unlike my co-workers who have Jeep Patriots, I'll be getting a Subaru Outback. I would have preferred another Jeep but at least the S...

Locking pliers. Tighten them so that you need to use another tool to get them to lock. Oh yeah, and get a torch set from Home Depot or Lowes or somewhere similar. They come in handy for stuff like this way too often to not have one in the tool box. You should be able to get a torch head and a can of...

It's not as easy of a fix as I made it sound. While I could just replace the stock drag link ends, what's the fun in that when I can just upgrade? And that would have just been a temp remedy until I could get the new drag link I had already ordered put in. But I'm flipping the drag link, so I have t...

Bad luck is the only luck.
So I was doing around 65 on the highway this morning, ran across an angled expansion joint driver side first, and then all Hell broke loose. Front axle started dancin like it had ants in its pants, steering wheel was doing the hokey pokey and the Jeep was pulling me towards the guard rail, across a ...

I seen a ghost.
Some of you may remember my original silver '05 SXT. I sold that car 5 years ago to buy an SRT. I just saw the SXT on the beltway today. It looks fantastic still. All stock, Mopar lip kit still intact. Running the stock exhaust with an empty driver side cutout in the rear. I know it was my car from ...

Stock gears are 3.21's in the sports, which are absolutely terrible with 35" tires. Fifth gear is useless under 70, sixth is non-existant. My dad's the only other person who's driven it, with the exception of a local Jeep club's VP when he lined it up for a trail ride a few weekends ago while I was ...

Hmm it's been a while. Moar media. Garage full of parts. There's absolutely no open floor space. Wheels, tires, shocks, springs, LCAs, rear track bar, random various supporting mods. http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w198/wenuden/IMG_20130612_155832_168.jpg Checking flex after installing the lift. ...

For a garage built frame, yes. From what I understand, there are many many manufacturers that have "DOT approval" to make frames, for lack of a better term, that can sell you a titlable frame for less than you can get a clean frame modded for. Your local (or a non-local but reputable) chopper shop c...
What exactly won't swap over? Cheap bolt on parts, that's what. and at least $1500 in pistons, rods, studs, and gaskets thats why i can't go 2.4l now that and i really wanna rev to 9k at least once in my life (and not be on a bike) Pull them, sell the bare short block, then part out the internals f...

Thanks guys! Yeah, we laid down the stripe to line up with the top of the tails, but then realized we should have accounted for the weatherstrip around the lights too. But doing that would also cover up a lot more of the 3rd. I was hoping to try and follow the body line, but the way the trunk curve...
I think he's planning on building it after. idk, I'm building a boosted 2.0 and there's no turning back now, already spent too much to switch to a 2.4  What exactly won't swap over? Cheap bolt on parts, that's what. Trade 2.0 bottom end to someone with a 2.4 that wants to be different, straig...

Can't on stock internals I never quite understood this. Why throw a big turbo on a stock bottom 2.0 and keep it out of its efficiency range? You say it'll be faster than a stock SRT but, at 8psi, that's all it'll ever be until you either chuck the 2.0 or build it. I think he's planning on building ...

You can put a v-twin in a straight 4 frame, it just involves more backbone/front end work. More custom = more better. On that note, I'd go with something that's not an old 750 honda, cause you're paying a premium on the frame when you're just gonna destroy it. Get a custom frame done, it'll be cheap...
