I normally tell people to restart their computer (kills the process) and clean their temp files as that is where it will hide most of the time. Removal is fairly straightforward, check the shortcut on the desktop and delete the folder that the .exe is in. Normally Program Data in Vista/7 and Program...

I'll have pics of the carnage once it's delivered back home sometime this week. Nothing a frame shop can't fix, and the estimate I got from the dealer I took it to was only $3800. So the adjuster saw it, and said totaled, the guy didn't even have an estimate done. Oh well, I get to fix this and get ...

I'm really hoping that the PCM is okay, I can't see it well the way it is now, but I also think that the neutral safety switch is broken, there's one sensor/switch that is on the front of the trans that is broken off. Everything shuts off in the car like it's going to crank but all I get is a red do...

So I got into an accident last Thursday because some asshole ran a red light and I hit him in the side, I was coming into the intersection, checked the light twice and after the second time I looked down and he was right there. It was green both times. But somehow his light was green too. :tardbang:...

Well I finally got a call back from the guy. $300 as is. I went and gave him $60 down yesterday and will have the rest to him by the end of February. I can pick it up after the next payment though. This is going to be a fun project.

Thanks for the input guys.

if you can drop down to a reasonable speed in 2 seconds then Kudo's for you. but driving at a speed not in excess of the posted speed limits are the best way not to get pulled over. If you had a radar detector in your car, and i stopped you for speeding, you got a ticket no questions asked. Im just...

Or you could tint the tails for less/no reflection. And I've actually toyed with the idea of putting a switch that disables the pressure switch on the brake pedal so if I'm flying at night, and need to stop the brakes I can flip the switch and slow down without anybody being the wiser.

Thanks I talked to the garage owner that it was sitting at and he said the guy needs the money, I couldn't get a hold of the guy today, hopefully he calls back. He did tell me he was quoted only $60 if he were to scrap it so I'd think he'd take $200.

I've read that they're the same platform as the Mazda RX6 and 626, is this true? I know my local junkyard has quite a few of 1gn probes around so if I can get this at a reasonable price I'm definitely going to pick it up. Didn't get a chance to call him today, freakin' work.

'89 Probe?

I'm looking at a cheap second car to have around and keep the neon as the daily driver. I was at a mechanics place getting dads A/C charged for his APU in the semi and I found a 89 Probe GT. I was wondering what can be done aftermarket wise to them if anything at all. It is turbocharged so I should ...

Also make sure that you have the tranny completely drained. When I did mine I a) didn't have another warm body to help and took a shower in hot trans fluid b) had fluid keep on draining onto the mating surface when trying to reassemble.

You won't need a big lump in the hood if you just tip the motor on it's side at an angle or just lay it down flat, granted that you'll have to mess with the oil pickup tube or go dry sump. Or find a boxer that you could wire up and make work.

You'll need a head gasket set but I'd try to find a R/T head if possible. If you search around you'll find that it has a hotter camshaft and better flowing head too. And it's a direct swap also, but you won't loose anything by going with a regular head.

It's probably the horn switch inside the airbag. The safest way would be to replace the whole assembly. And if you have to ask a question like this (no offense) then I wouldn't recommend repairing it by replacing just the horn switch as improper reassembly can result in a non functioning airbag duri...

Like previously stated it's probably your power steering belt or alternator belt. Make sure that they aren't glazed over/ cracked and try tightening them first and if that doesn't help then you need to replace them.
