$34,000 invested, plus the original cost of the neon.... unfortunately customer/friend knows hes not going to get near that and is a motivated seller More like " Fortunately the customer knows he isn't going to get that." you cant build this again for less than 50k Um yeah, you could easily do it, i...

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

OEM quality is tough to get with those sort of aftermarket pieces, especially for the cost. Making it look good is one thing, (design excluded here) but to have it still look good 5 years down the road is another. Granted, the neon's oem headlights were nothing to brag about, but aftermarket isn't a...

Here in Ohio, you don't necessarily need to repair anything to make the salvage title an R title. As long as it is in safe road condition, it doesn't need to be fixed. Granted this is for stuff like being side swiped, where the cosmetic damages were too costly to repair, or a ton of hail damage. My ...

The tails kind of tie in the CF pieces. I like them as far as that goes. Those reverse lights should be an upgrade over the stock ones, especially if you put some decent LED bulbs in there. Cool to get an idea how much it weighs. I think it's cool they weighed it, and didn't just usher you on your w...

Probably not enough width difference to really impact things. Depending on the tread design, and amount of wear, it might make hydroplaning happen slightly sooner. The only two things that seriously impact tire grip is deep water, slush, snow, and tread wear. Just wet pavement will make a difference...

Aren't overseas neons all Chryslers? Pretty sure everything RHD is. In the parts catalog, all RHD stuff is designated "Z" for Chrysler, so the wrong items don't get inadvertently ordered. Maybe look into virtual credit card numbers with your bank, to see if they offer that feature. One time use, and it is no longer valid. You will gain a bit of power up top but that is about it. Probably where those "ten horsepower" are gained, at or near the rev limit. If it was 10 ft lbs of torque from say 1800 to 4500 rpm, it would actually be noticeable, and maybe even improve efficiency. Protecting the shift cables was one of m...

So I stop where your lists begins with "Fuel Lines"? Thank you for the post! Correct. Given the main fuel line runs in with the brake line bundle, I figured I would include that, since it would be right in the mix. I don't see there being any real issue, unless DCX went cheap after 2001. The ones i...

Yeah, the rockers on the JY head might need some time to get back into running shape, from sitting for ??? who knows how long. At the worst, you might need to swap the rockers from your original head over. Just be careful that the swivels on the ends of the lash adjusters are intact on them all. I w...

Coil connector is the one with the dark green/orange wire in the center, just to be sure. It wouldn't have fired up at all to begin with if the connectors were swapped. Cranking funny doesn't sound good, but hopefully it is just the lash adjusters being out of sorts from sitting. I would try pulling...
