Shadow/Sundance knuckles.
Gives better suspension geometry, and bolt in bearings.
It's only been done on 1gn neons AFAIK. Mostly because the strut yoke width difference. I made some custom spacers so the knuckle fits the 2gn strut/coilovers.

Re: Random posting
I would love to go to the Mutter museum! Not sure if I'll ever make it there though. Philadelphia is a substantial drive for me, even being in the next state. Tom (PA ACR) would probably be the best person to ask, that currently visits the forums, but unfortunately he mostly is on neons.org. He is o...

Looks to be a slightly lighter shade than NYG, but it could just be the pictures. I have never seen one in the flesh, let alone beside a neon to compare....

Neons on the road around me are far and few between. And very few of those are in good shape. Most that I see have barely enough metal left holding them together. One of them had a ratchet strap holding the rear door shut, because there was nothing left of the dogleg area to latch to. Every now and ...

Re: Looking for Advice on Upgrading Exhaust for My 2004 Neon SXT
Unless there are significant engine mods, you won't see any gains from a better flowing exhaust. About all you can do is get a cat back set up for a bit more aggressive sound. I'm not sure what is even out there anymore for cat back systems, other than maybe eBay specials. It has been 19 years since...

Re: Mystery metal in the oil pan
Does it appear that anything has been sandwiched between the pan and block, or bolted to the main cap girdle? Whatever it was, it had to be placed in there with the pan off. There's no way it would have come down from the top. The drain back holes are way too small for much to get in from the head. ...

Unfortunately a physical mechanical connection between you and what you are controlling is becoming the exception.... Thankfully my Forester still has a mechanical connection to the steering rack.... E throttle has been around on "Chrysler" products since at least 2007, so it is going to be increasi...

Should have been able to turn off the LKA, it's one feature I hate. The adaptive cruise control should have also been adjustable to how much time is between you and the car in front. I don't think any of them set a specific distance. At slower speeds mine will follow closer, but the time between the...

Well that sucks they ruined the gas mileage on the 300 redesign from the earlier 1990's LHS cars. The 1999 300 our daughter had got an easy 32 mpg , and would leave the 2.0 neon in the dust. 3.5 FTW. The 3.5 1998 Concorde my mother had was the same, plenty of power, and the fuel economy was phenomen...

Depends on how anal you are about it. I personally wouldn't worry as long as they spec out otherwise.

Re: Random posting
Considering whoever buys it, they are not likely to use Mopar parts for repairs unless that's the only option and available. So you can keep it going as long as possible with aftermarket, and put the car payment in the bank until it becomes inevitable. At least you'll have more of a down payment and...

Don't get to close with the pressure washer or use the widest nozzle you have to minimize pressure. You could risk flattening or pulling the fins loose. Not sure if there would be enough venturi effective, but using a high flow air nozzle, a co worker managed to pull all the fins in tight blowing du...

It is between 24 and 25 years old, depending on date of manufacture. I personally would change it. May as well do the water pump etc also while it's apart. Use either a Mopar water pump or GMB. Don't use a Gates. There are more than a few people including me that have had Gates parts fail extremely ...

The charging system in neons is not that picky -like some of the newer cars.
It will be just fine.
The nice thing with AGM is the very slim possibly of corroded terminals and corrosion eating the cables under the insulation.
