Thats not a drift and I'm not being mean either. Thats a powerslide. If it hasn't happened already, your going to damage your shocks and rip your control arm bushings. Don't do that man untill you have a complete suspension overhaul. aight just to clear up, what is drifting then? wikipedia..... Dri...

aight basically what I'm doing with it is turning while only having to slow down to about 40mph (or higher on a round turn). otherwise taking a sharp 90 or 180 degree turn would take a lot bigger turning radius. understand where i'm coming from? EDIT: Do you have a rear sway? You're acting like a mo...

i mean using the hand brake to break traction and swing the back end around when iI'm making turns, then holding down on the accelerator and completing the turn and continuing

whatever you would classify that as :)

quick question about drifting

now, obviously it's terrible for your tires, but how bad?

I've been brushing up on it lately in parking lots and a few times on the street (with my neon)... mostly using the hand brake

i'd imagine that you can sh*t your tires pretty quickly?

If you can you might consider fabricating an aluminum duct to the underside of your hood that will seal to your airbox with a rubber gasket. Aside from being more durable than foam air will no doubt pass throught the scoop, through the duct then directly to the filter. The only issue I see with the...

Best way to put in a hood scoop?

I was going to reroute the intake, so that the cone is sticking up, pretty much "in" the hood scoop. Do you think that I need the plastic "bucket" that the cone was origionally in? Or should I just stick the cone right up in there?

Basically, a direct route like... cone--->piping--->engine?

Get some pics up, most of us can spot what you have in like half a second! If it's an automatic then you have one of the base models, not an R/T or ACR. ill get pics up once i finish the work on my hood, fender, and bumper. im ashamed now  gimme 2 weeks because I have to order the parts and sh...

ok thanks as of right now, I have some front end damage (came with the car :P) i need a bumper cover, right fender, and hood. But I figured that if I would eventually get a body kit, why get a bumper cover now and waste money, if the body kit includes a bumper cover... right? But I don't know what I...

Time for the "daily noob question"

heh If I were to get a body kit, would my stock fenders line up with the bumper? Like, it would fit right in as if I were buying a regular front and rear bumper, right? Are there any do-it-yourself / cheap tuneups?

Ok. Some the politically correct would call me "mechanically challenged." I never had too much experience with cars (just never had a lot of exposure to mechanical shiz) But I wanted to start. So, my question is... What cheap/easy type things are there that I can do to squeeze some extra horsepower ...

Heya

Hey, name's Shawn and I'm from RI. I'm 16 and I just got a 2002 dodge neon as my first car. I got a great deal on it, too... $2600 and its only got 68,000 miles on it. The only problem is that its got some exterior damage, but i'm getting a new bumper, hood, and right fender. Hopefully I'll get all ...
