Re: what should I price sxt at?

I have a red dodge neon sxt with 84k miles... nothing wrong with it what so ever. It has a cai.. paintjob recently.. just had alignment and transmission maintenced. Its a 2005. What kind of price should I look for? I know kbb has it at 4000 but realistically can I get that much for it? Depends on t...

Rear Strut Question

In the process of replacing my rear struts and springs but have run into a snag getting the bottom mounting bolts out. I've removed the nuts without any problem but the bolts will not budge. I believe they are rusted on. I've WD-40'd and hammered the shit out of them but they will not move. Does any...

Long Block vs Short Block?

Ok, I've been trying to figure this out, but I have to ask the dumb question anyway. I drive a 2002 sxt and am looking to convert to a magnum with a .02 over bore. It would be easiest for me to just grab an extra engine block and build off of that and then just drop it in as my neon is currently my ...

Ok, so here is what I've read from my FSM: Pg 14-5 Fuel Level Sending Unit/Sensor Operation for OBD II emissions requirements: The voltage signal is sent to the instrument cluster to indicate fuel level. The cluster transmits the fuel level to the PCM where it is used to prevent a false setting of m...

Ok, well, it's an ingenious idea. I like it a lot and I am going to pursue this. If the RPM's are read by voltage (can't imagine them using something more sophisticated in neon), than I can work with that. I'm an EE so rigging up a simple circuit to switch the fuel reading shouldn't be too difficult...

Another p0300 question

So, yes I have a 2002 sxt, yes I know I have an uber-sensitive knock/misfire sensor, I have a UDP and my CEL is on now. I know everything is fine, but is there anything I can do to get that damn CEL to stop coming on. Is there an update at the dealer? New PCM, maybe an AF/X? I can live with it, but ...

Adding to this never ending post. I just got a p0300 with my UDP and the CEL blinked and stayed on after I took it to 5500 for 3 gears. It kind of freaked me out at first, but I never lost any power and you can hear misfires if you listen carefully enough (which I didn't hear at all), so yeah, damn ...

Thanks, I was skeptical of those "grounding kits". By the way, UDP is already installed and I've got the ODP waiting for me to do something with it. Thanks again for everything. I'll be making a trip to the store to pick up some wire and connectors. :D
