WTF????
The saga of my overheating continued until one day the trans died. Had it towed to a transmission shop and it needed a rebuild. so 1500 bucks later, get the car back, it has not gone above normal operating temp since. IT WAS THE DAMN TRANS THE WHOLE TIME!!!

Just FYI
I just removed the guts from the catalytic converter, put it back on, to include the downtake sensor, took it for a spin, it ran warm - but never got into the hot zone, lost ac cooling. After running it back down in the 2000 rpm range, it came back down to normal and the ac came to back to subzero!

Sorry, I was just trying to get to the root of the problem. I don't have enough money to take it to the dealer and it is my only means of transpo at the moment - no funds to buy a another and can't really sell this one. yes we did change the tstat, it was a lower temp one and i dont remember if it had a air bleed hole. i want to include the following info conditions when it runs too warm/hot: only overheats with the ac on it tends to happen when engine runs at 2500-3000 rpms for an extended time. there is also a si...

after 4 days and 2 broken gear pullers (finally modified one from a tractor supply place), got the crankshaft pulley off, took head to machine shop - it was warped by 10000, had it planed and compresion tested out good, installed head gasket kit, put on new water pump and timing belt, everything put...

went to the shop to pickup the head - it was warped - it was off by about 10000 - milled - compression test checksout. tomorrow we will hopefully, reinstall head with new head gasket kit, install new water pump and drivebelt, hook and fill everything back up and pray that A: It Starts and B: It Runs...

got it done, we got a pulley from advance auto parts, it bent, took it back, went to farm supply and found some heavy duty ones, one was too big , the other we snapped in half, went back, got the big one, modified it top fit, used the dogbone as a brace for the center and used impact hammer, got it ...

Help with Camshaft Pulley
My brother and I are trying to remove the camshaft puuley (hamronic balancer) from my 02 neon sxt. we actually broke and gear puller bolt in half, anyu advice on how to get the darn thing off. We've already tried to tap the puller bolt with a hammer - no dice????????

Overheating issues on a 02 SXT
I bought a used 02 SXT, Auto, stock After the first week the car overheated, took it to a dodge dealer, they replaced the thermostat. Still wants to overheat.
