Bearings are cheap. If you're in there why not do all of them? as r/tguy02 said, be sure to check the crank. If you're doing it right buy some plastigauge (cheap) and check the bearing to crank clearances.

It will change your intake sound somewhat as well. The plastic intake seemed to have more resonance.

Are you sure it runs perfectly? I doubt it. What AFR are you reading while unplugged? I can't remember if the stock ecu will go into open loop when the map is unplugged, but I think it will. Most likely you are running crazy rich. Large cams like the 005 and 007 have overlap which allows unburnt fue...

IMO the comp 400 is the best DD street cam. you'll gain mid range and high, while not loosing any down low.

It looks like you have the ground (black wire) on the horn also connected to the positive side of the battery. When you touch the red wire to the negative side you are "running the horn backwards" (negative polarity). This is how I would wire it up. Assuming that's an aftermarket button (i can't tel...

I broke an intake valve at the groove with the 400 too. I found a few other people on the other.org that did it with the 400 as well.

I'm well aware, having built and installed my own. However, even with MS he could just do fuel control and save money w/o ignition drivers.

DOHC pistons (or aftermarket hi comp), a Comp 400 cam, and an underdrive pulley were the most noticeable power mods I did that made DD more fun. A more freer flowing exhaust will help up top, but could hurt your low end torque (which is nice to have in a DD).

So if I get the stock size I should be good to go? old post, but no. What Jeff was saying is the block most likely needs to be bored out since the cylinders are most likely out of round. That said, you could pull a Chad, buy stock size, use a dingleberry hone on your 120k block while torn apart in ...

I doubt you're going to see much benefit going full standalone with a 12. You could run a piggy back system to pull/add fuel here and there, but I doubt messing with ignition tables is going to be worth the effort.

You're going to have a weird step down from the standard head to the magnum header ports since it's a bigger ID port.l...I really don't know if that would hurt or help flow. No one spends money on dynoing one part at a time lol.
