Dent

My wife couldn't get the car to start because the battery was dead, so she pushed it with a friend to clutch start iit. When she was pushing it backwards to get in position, the drivers door was open and hit a telephone pole. :ireful: Anyway, the hinges are bent so the door closes funny, and the ext...

Perhaps the fusible link is causing the problem. That circuit with the alternator, starter and battery is easy to burn if it is shorted. Then the car just acts like the starter is busted. If you short the battery terminals or don't have a ground protector on the alternator, or touch the wires someho...

I am sorry, I merged two problems into one. First I have oil under the transmission on the drivers side under the axle. The transmission was switched a few months back as the old one went bad from who knows. I had just bought the car and then the transmission died. So now I don't want my new(er) exp...

So how do you check the fluid level of an MTX? I wonder if my fluid level is low. I get a weird clunking, but its when I hit bumps and things and so I think its the bearing that screams around corners...

But I do have fluid under the tranny that is a clear brown color.

But what bothers me is before I did anything to the car the gage sat in the same place, so it is nothing to go by.

I might be paranoid, but...

When I bought my car it acted funny once the engine had been running awhile and I figured it was running hot even though the gage didn't say it was. I don't trust those gages after the 1st gens I had... Well I checked the coolant in the radiator, and it was full. The reservoir was full too. So I cha...

Parking brake and drum brakes...

I changed the shoes, drums and hardware on my '03 SXT MTX and not the adjuster. I figured I could reuse it since it is still turning fine. Well if you look in the pictures the arm for it doesn't touch the wheel, and when I use the parking brake it bearly bites when fully engaged and the car doesn't ...

I drive delivering papers and get about 26MPG in an MTX '03. ANd that is a lot of starts and stops, and a lot of weight.
