Exhaust hitting frame
Got my exhaust pipe replaced a few months back and I thought something was up when I heard a rattle coming from the back. To make a long story short, the tons of snow and my laziness resulted in me waiting too long to check out exactly what it was, and when I did the place that did it (Car-X :cussin...

Salvage Yards near WEst Allis/Milwaukee??
Looking for a good/friendly local salvage yard near the West Allis area (near Miller Park). I usually go to Jantz in Kenosha, but my trips down there have been less and less thanks to gas prices.

Part Number Request: A Pillar
Need to replace the driver side A-Pillar, pulled it off too many times and the spade clip chewed up the plastic. Please post P/N for both sides in case someone needs it in the future. Thanks!

A lot of the "discount" on-line auto part stores have replacement control arms for around $100 each. Here is a place that has Mevotech replacement ones: http://www2.partstrain.com/store/index.php?Ntt=Control%20Arm&N=1607+10025+4294967264 Not sure about the quality, but they say "high quality factory...

Any way you go that includes larger than stock bars will be noticably better (especially with new bushings). Most people like whatever set-up they have. I am happy with my stock front and R/T rear, but I have no other comparrison besides my old stock set-up which was the 20mm front and none in the r...

I think I have the R/T (19mm) one in the rear, but I can't remember. It might be 17mm. Either way, I like it. Just need to get to work on replacing all of my bushings, they are shot, except the rear sway bar ones which were urethane to begin with. Since you're car has a few years under its belt I'd ...

What size end links for lowered cars?
Just wondering what size endlinks everyone is using on their lowered cars. I have Sprint lowering springs (1-3/4" drop) on. I was looking at using a 2-5/8" endlink for the rear (stock size is 3-9/16"), and the same stock size for the front. Sound good? Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Thanks!

My CA bushings look just like yours, SHOT! I'd say change the bushings, not the whole control arm. Unless the CA itself is broken, then buy a new CA AND the bushings. If you replace teh CA with the same "squishy" POS bushings you'l probably have the same problem in a few years. GO with the urethane ...

You shouldn't need a new thermostat if your operating temp. has been good. But I would suggest replacing the O-Ring for sure, they're less than $1 at pretty much any hardware store (TrueValue, Ace, etc). Its not all that hard, the only issue I had was getting some coolant on the floor, which was an ...

Painted Calipers - Getting outside pad on
I just painted my calipers and am also replacing the rotors/pads. I have one question though - Is there any way to get teh outter pads onto the calipers without scratching the paint on the caliper?

I'm in the process of doing my front brakes right now. Luckily I planned on replacing the rotors along with the pads instead of just turning the rotors because they were stuck the F%@$ on! I soaked every opening (lug holes, back of the rotor "hole", etc) with PB Blast and beat it with a hammer and p...

Rear brake drums stuck
Anyone ever had a problem removing teh rear drums? I've had them off before, about 3 or 4 years ago, but now they won't come off. At first they were hard to turn by hand, but with the wheel put back on I turned them a bit then they loosened up, but I still can't pull either drum off. I'm guessing it...
