Have you looked at motor mounts, struts. Also while road tests are awesome a flat surface or as close to one as possible because road ruts can cause the car to do things freaky if you pay attention. Road ruts plus torque steer can be a weird combination. All good now that the LCA bolt was tightened...

Hey guys, sorry I haven't responded back to this. I've had a lot to deal with between work and my personal life so it hasn't been on my list. Anyway, I was finally able to look into this and the problem was the driver side LCA bolt was loose :banghead: ...that was simply tightened and the pulling di...

Can a tranny issue cause this?

Hi, I have an 02 Neon SE with right around 160k miles on it. I went in to the shop to have the rear brakes worked on and used the opportunity to mention a few issues I've been having lately. Issues like ride harshness and some clunking/popping/squeaking noises going on up front. Anyway, upon inspect...

I just replaced my TCM on Sunday and had the same thing happen, 2-3 seems longer. It seems that it's shortened a bit though the last day or so, but as I mentioned in my post, might just be me. I'm curious to know if it's necessary as well.

Well it's been a few days now and the car seems to be running great. Feels better than it has in a long time actually...might just be placebo, might not :D.... What's a little odd to me is that my car used to idle rough sometimes after coming to a stop at a stoplight, which has stopped with the repl...

Well so I managed to get it changed out and so far all is good. Shift points between 2nd-3rd seems to be a little longer than before, but it shifts nicely. Is it really necessary to take it in for the pin test? I thought I read somewhere that it wasn't, but I can't seem to find it. Also, I removed t...

Finally got the part yesterday, right after it rained/snowed/froze all damn night. It's so @#$%ing cold right now it's ridiculous, and I have no garage to work in! Anyway -- does anyone know roughly how long this should take? I'm trying to gauge when I can do it and how long I'll have to freeze my a...

Threw a "new" TCM in last night, fixed it! I was throwing P0700. Sweet, I'll get mine soon. I hope it fixes it. Just curious, would yours go in and out of limp mode? And would your CEL go on and off on its own? Seriously my car would drive fine on the way to work and drive fine on the way home. If ...

So I called the dealer again and it turns out the first guy quoted me the cost of the ECM lol...the actual cost of the TCM, R5034002AC EATX Module is $342.50, which is quite a bit better than nearly $800. Wholesale Mopar has it for $274 with a $125 core, so I'll likely order it there as finding it u...

So today I took my car to orielly's and decided to get it scanned while picking up the speed sensors. It came up with: P0605 P0700 From my understanding, P0605 means an internal error in the TCM. So I'll be looking for one of those. Any suggestions on where to find a replacement? I figure the junkya...

P1684 is supposed to be something to do with the battery being disconnected within the last 50 starts -- might be wrong though. Ah ok, I didn't know that. That helps much thanks for narrowing it down to 3 for me, it seemed to be limitless there for a while.

Yeah I've noticed that as well. I actually did search some things, but I figured that I needed to get it scanned, unless you can visibly tell if the TCM or Solenoid is dead. 2002 Neon ATX Troubles

So the other day I drove to the store and all was well. When I came out, started my car I noticed a bit of a jerk when I put the car into reverse. As I put it in drive again a jerk then when I started to pull away the check engine light came on. I stopped, turned the car off and did the on-off to se...

It is very easy, shouldn't take more than a few minutes. Just the two screws, and the connector. I would check it with a voltmeter to verify it is the problem tho. IIRC BRR's TB adapter How To has the pin outs. It is spring loaded too, so if there is no spring action, that could be a problem. Nothi...

Yeah, no codes. Know anywhere that carries a fairly priced TPS? Also, how difficult is it to change? I don't mind the work, I just like a good idea of how long it'll take. Thanks guys.

I also thought I would mention, with the A/C or defrost on, I can feel the car rev up and down while driving. I know that some of it would be normal, but it seems different. Would this also be related to the TPS? Another thing I failed to mention is sometimes upon acceleration the car will hesitate,...

Hesitation on Acceleration/rattle on slow down

2002 Dodge Neon SOHC, ATX, Approx. 126000 miles Alright, so lately I've noticed the car bogging out a bit upon acceleration. It happens the most when I first start the car and attempt to drive forward (never does it in reverse?). It'll start to move, nearly stop and hesitate (by hesitate I mean I ca...
