Re: Launch Control

I was wondering if i can get launch control for my Automatic Neon?? If the the GT-R can't handle launch control without f'n up the tranny, what makes you think your Neon needs/can handle it? There's a reason they discontinued this feature after the first year. And if you did have it, all that would...

Nice ride. But i agree with others that's too hi for a used Neon, and the mileage (that's how most will look at it). Part it out, return it to stock, then take the money you got from parting it out and apply it towards the principal. In all honesty you can expect that most people aren't gonna pay mo...

it would be a PITA, but you could lift the car and disconnect the line at the pump itself (on both sides of the pump) and drain it out.... but like I said... it would be a PITA. I've had this done at the ole' "jiffy lube" type place a few years back. It was $65.00ish if i remember. I don't think it...

I see what you mean, it looks like it's just the pulley in the picture. http://contentinfo.autozone.com/znetcs/product-info/en/US/bgy/48007/image/6/ I just checked my old mechanical tensioner and the pulley comes right off once you remove the retaining nut. So if you already have a mechanical tensi...

That' pretty much it, other than the inner timing cover, but that is an easy fix. Either buy the newer style timing cover or just cut the old one. Sorry i wrote that wrong. The Autozone tensioner they offer, shows only the pully as the part you get. Which is "technically" the tensioner, but the pho...

Autozone only shows one timing belt tensioner option (for a 2002 that is) and it's only $67.99. Looks like you just unbolt the old one and bolt on the new one. Am i missing something here?

Remove the motor and apply 12V directly to it. See if you can reproduce a problem. Was the blower used a lot (i.e. AC on ALL summer long on high speed)? If so, there's a good chance it's on its way out. Not sure ho wuch the previous owner used the blower. We've only had the car for a couple weeks. ...

Just talked to her. Apparently everytime she starts the car it seems to get a little better. So maybe it is something in the blower motor. I'd just imagine you'd smell something if th emotor was going.

No air through my vents, but the blower is working. HELP!!

Ok, i'll try to keep this short...... The day my gf bought her car (about two weeks ago) i was driving it and the blower was blowing, but the air flow was barely (i mean BARELY) coming out of the vents. It kinda sounded like there may be something inside the blower motor area or associated piping bl...
