Re: Midnight_Rider's progress log

Hagerty lets the owner decide the value so I didn't need an appraisal. I agree that it is worth the cost. I remember back in the day I tried to insure my drivetrain since my insurance company would allow me to itemize coverage. I tried to insure the engine for replacement value ($10,000) and they l...

Re: Tps problem

Been there and done that with the Emanage Blue on the 2GN..... Do not use it!!!!!! It's a glorified SAFC unit that won't work because the 2GN pcm will fight it trying to get STOICH A/F's no matter what you do! If you do not have the emissions restrictions like we do in the USA, and a check engine li...

Re: Dodge/Chrysler News

OD, I completely understand what your talking about when it comes to "Unions". Some are good and others are bad.... I was a member of a local UAW for years.... But when I found out I couldn't get a pay raise or work another position without the unions approval I started asking questions and looking ...

Re: Water Leak

Here's a small update... He got a quote of $225 to replace the windshield as they won't just reseal it. So he's still saving money to get the repair done, yet he had the money to purchase some aftermarket taillights....LOL I also seen a picture of the taillights he ordered and laughed at him, he was...

Re: Water Leak

No real updates yet as my kid has yet to listen to me and get the windshield resealed. So as of now he's still getting water inside the car and with the WNY temperatures lately, I'm sure it's freezing water now. I've told him numerous times it needs to be addressed as it could lead to further issues...

Re: Water Leak

I used a Thermal Camera today and he has heat escaping out of the passenger side under the windshield in about a 3"-4" area. I'm going to guess this is where the water is actually coming into the car since heat can escape through there, it's large enough for water to come in :)

The New site software update, I miss the old site

I'm probably not the only one, but since the new software update....the site has been a real bitch to navigate. It was so much easier with the old site setup. Now I have to scroll through older posts to find the newer posts..... Any chances of bringing back the older site with the newer software? Ev...

Re: Water Leak

The top of the heater box above the blower motor is wet. I walked him through making sure the sunroof drain tube was clear and not disconnected. I read last night about the sheet metal area with cracked sealer but I don’t believe it could be that because of the amount of water on his floor. Last nig...

Re: Mods are working OT to beat the bots!

It seems since the forum software update the spam has gotten worse? idk...... It sucks to see the site having little activity anymore..... I wonder if it's possible to start linking FaceBook posts to redirect to 2GN's site for answers or comments Vs everything being posted on FB.... For example: "FB...

The Magnum butterfly mod...lol Talk about bringing back memories.... Re: Random posting

Thanks everyone, it's crazy to think I've been in this group for over a decade. I begun while in high school. Now I'm 28 (29 Friday), have a career, a wife, and now a daughter. Been going to almost all the Carlisle trips. Growing up with the 2gn family, it's crazy seeing what we used to be and now ...

I appreciate the thought but really wish that we could afford to "import" Gnuserup (spelling? correct screen name?) or Alex Kurdian.
$1600-$2000 per person round trip plus extra charges for baggage from Australia to Harrisburg..... :(
For that price, probably not.....sorry guys :(

Re: 2003 Neon SE 2.0 -- Mech Tensioner or Hydraulic?

If I remember correctly, Chrysler was fazing out the hydraulic tensioner for the mechanical one. This is why when you purchase a timing kit from Mopar, the price is so high. They are selling the mechanical tensioner covers with everything you need to convert over to get rid of the hydraulic tensione...
