Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

I mean if you have to spend around $100 to repair it, may as well put it towards a new un cracked manifold. A heli coil and a stud might be more durable, since the stud would stay put as long as the nut was kept lubed. But if a stud prevents assembly due to clearance issues, then that option is out...

I hope that this means that mine is increasing in value. :D
Based on my experience in 2008-9 (looking for one that hasn't been "trashed") your SRT-4 should be approaching "priceless" in 2019. :D

Re: Midnight_Rider's progress log

Most of them turn into assholes when it comes to shelling out money. They're your best friend, as long as you don't create a loss, and are lining their pockets. Nationwide treated me pretty fair when one of their insured backed into me. There are a few decent adjusters out there, but they are proba...

Re: Midnight_Rider's progress log

The car hasn't been started since October. I daydream every day on my job about driving it (while I'm driving my work vehicle). I visit the garage at least twice daily to check on it and say hello (seriously). Already thinking of new adventures for this year- the 2020 sticker is already on the lice...

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

They do. I haven't heard of anything crazy with the 2gn. Its not my daily driver so I don't care about vibrations really. Plus its a Neon and doesn't ride the best anyway. That is why I have an automatic Acura TL-S that rides very smooth. And if that chain fails, its a huge mess, can be very catast...

Re: Random posting

Yes it is sad. They couple that were selling it bought it in February of this year. To me it was the previous owner that neglected it. Looks like it just sat out in the hot Oklahoma sun every day and was never washed and the paint was never protected. It's a shame that a car could be so f*$#-up in ...

Re: Random posting

As far as hail damage, just rock it the way it is. (Better aerodynamics like a golf ball! :P) If it is really bad, and the title is not an R salvage title, that means they never turned it in. It should show on the car fax if it was turned in, but possibly not, since it wasn't repaired. Car Fax is f...

Not much at all. Nice find. So there is a black srt-4 for sale that is only 30 minutes away from me. It is Mopar stage 3. He was asking $7k and is now asking $6k for it. Anyone know how well the 3.0 motors are in the Stratus R/T's? A friend's co-worker is selling his black 2005 Stratus R/T coupe with the 5 speed manual. Looks pretty rough with around 160k miles. But it has been maintained mechanically with lots of paper work. He is asking $2k for it. Was curious ho...

LOL, in July, Carlisle PA is usually pretty warm. You usually have sweat running down your legs out of your shorts. Some slightly cooler weather would be welcome at times. There is a bikini contest after all. When I lived in Odessa, we had several days when the temperature was 107 degrees...

I really don't want to ban anyone that isn't doing something truly detrimental, but when you give that response to someone who is sharing a moment of fun with their kids, it was over the line for me. And his actions are detrimental to the sense of community. We are not as large as we once were, so ...

Ya i know.. thing is that the good catch cans have a CNC plate to replace the PCV system that is somewhat prone to failure.. so the actual catch can is only 100$ or so but the whole thing you would need to make it function optimally is 500, but used ones pup up for 200 or so. I don't know about VW'...

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

Well Mondern Performance offers the CBD PVO wing in fiberglass now. $30 deduction. So was about to order in fiberglass and have it painted to match. Then I thought, its only a $30 difference... I think the deduction should be more from a raw fiberglass to CF. Probably since they just started to off...
