Re: Dodge/Chrysler News

Hopefully with all that money they build a quick hot hatch/sport compact with a manual transmission. I still want to test drive a Fiat 124 Abarth with a 6 speed. Love the looks of them! Saw a white one at a car meet. It was so nice inside and out. https://www.topgear.com/car-reviews/peugeot/308/16-...

Re: The Official eBay, Craigslist, etc Links Thread for Cars

Removing the rear spoiler is not "low profile" … mine had an SXT rear spoiler mounted when I got it. Jefferson Parish Sherriff Deputies
reacted to the unique, aggressive front fascia. No "econobox" looks like that :D

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

I could only imagine how nice a AWD car would do with winter tires in snow. It is pretty phenomenal. I always made it through snow that was deep enough to come up the hood on the neon, but I had comparable snow tires on that too. But driving a 2gn neon in the salt brine they use anymore is a death ...

Re: Dodge/Chrysler News

Either way, "just not what America wanted at the time". "underpowered and overpriced" just about describes any new car for sale. If they make decent power, most can't afford it. They will never sell a stripped down car that has 500 hp for under $20,000. No one would buy the really profitable stuff....

True, but just saying sometimes a little bit of foreign design and innovation helps the home team design and build something better.
The dart was a neat car just not what America wanted at the time.
It was underpowered and overpriced

Re: Dodge/Chrysler News

My family really liked the 2 eagle Premiers we had that were based off Renault cars. Hopefully it gets some innovation and maybe a nice small hatchback with a dodge moniker. The Renault merger fell apart … this deal is with Peugeot https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a29655638/fiat-chrysler-psa-peuge...

Re: Random posting

GM has enough of a worldwide presence, that it can remain in existence. Not as profitably, but it could remain in business, whether or not it made or sold another car in the US. The UAW does not have the leverage of a worldwide presence. GM pulls all of it's operations out, the UAW's paying members...

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

I mean if you have to spend around $100 to repair it, may as well put it towards a new un cracked manifold. A heli coil and a stud might be more durable, since the stud would stay put as long as the nut was kept lubed. But if a stud prevents assembly due to clearance issues, then that option is out...

I hope that this means that mine is increasing in value. :D
Based on my experience in 2008-9 (looking for one that hasn't been "trashed") your SRT-4 should be approaching "priceless" in 2019. :D

Re: Midnight_Rider's progress log

Most of them turn into assholes when it comes to shelling out money. They're your best friend, as long as you don't create a loss, and are lining their pockets. Nationwide treated me pretty fair when one of their insured backed into me. There are a few decent adjusters out there, but they are proba...

Re: Midnight_Rider's progress log

The car hasn't been started since October. I daydream every day on my job about driving it (while I'm driving my work vehicle). I visit the garage at least twice daily to check on it and say hello (seriously). Already thinking of new adventures for this year- the 2020 sticker is already on the lice...

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

They do. I haven't heard of anything crazy with the 2gn. Its not my daily driver so I don't care about vibrations really. Plus its a Neon and doesn't ride the best anyway. That is why I have an automatic Acura TL-S that rides very smooth. And if that chain fails, its a huge mess, can be very catast...

Re: Random posting

Yes it is sad. They couple that were selling it bought it in February of this year. To me it was the previous owner that neglected it. Looks like it just sat out in the hot Oklahoma sun every day and was never washed and the paint was never protected. It's a shame that a car could be so f*$#-up in ...
