Question about a couple of issues

I let a friend borrow my Neon for a bit and it ended up breaking down on him. Basically it looked like it tore the clutch up, so I had it replaced by a mechanic from my neighborhood. Got a couple of issues going on right now still and looking for a little direction. 1. I have a grinding noise when s...

The crazy thing is I took it to 2 shops and they did some kind of electrical test and said I prob got a bad starter out of the box when I replaced the one I had. When I fixed the problem, thanks to you guys on the forum, I just laughed at it cause it ran $35 for each test.

Sorry for the late response. It ended up being the battery Terminal connectors. The 2 screws that hold the wires in place for both the positive and negative were loose. So I replaced both terminals, cause they didn't look so hot, and everything is running smooth. This even fixed a lag I was having w...

neon won't start

I just went to start my neon and it won't turn over, nothing. I took the battery out and had it tested and it tested good. Starter, alternator and battery all less than 6 months old. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance!!

So I could get away with swapping the SRT Struts over along with the 215's and then go get some 205's installed?

Why is it not recommended on not using 215's?

What about leaving the tire the same and swapping out the strut from an SRT? Will this fit and if so will it hurt the vehicle?

SRT wheels are 215/50ZR17.

Didn't know since I already had tires if the SRT struts would fit on a 2001 Dodge Neon ES. That way everything would be proportionate.

I have been doing a little research and it looks like the 2003 and up dodge stratus uses a ngc 2.4l block. So does this mean that if I can find a block from one of those years that all I have to do is swap out the internals and then put my SRT-4 engine back together?

Won't painting or powdercoating a engine block retain heat? I mean you want to keep your engine cooler, so I would think painting it would defeat the purpose. Don't get me wrong if I knew it wouldn't have any bad affects, like retaining heat, I would do it in a heartbeat.

SRT-4 Engine Block

I have a question concerning the SRT-4 Engine Block itself. I bought all the parts I need to do an SRT-4 swap from a junkyard for about $1300. The one thing I noticed when I got the engine home was that the 2 wings where the transmission mounts up to the block were broke. Will it be ok to have those...

I will have the side skirts and rear bumper also. I am doing an SRT swap so I figured why not have the body style also. I mean the guy at the junkyard that I got my parts from gave me everything for $1300. Motor has 31000 miles on it. And it looks to be Stage 1.

SRT Hood Question

I am looking to get an SRT Hood or something similar. There is a hood for sale in the Parts section and what I am curious about is if anyone knows if it will fit a 2001 Dodge Neon ES. I picked one of these rear view mirrors also. My neon doesn't have the red plug under the dash. So I was thinking of going back to the junk yard and pulling the whole in-dash wiring harness and fuse panel and swapping it out with mine. That way when I switch over to power windows and power locks. Ev...

in dash wiring

I was looking at getting power windows, power locks, lighted rear view mirrors, power side-view mirrors amongst some other things. When I look at the wiring under my dash there are some plugs that I have seen on other neons at junkyards that mine doesn't have. How hard would it be to grab the "In da...
