mine is ice cold in less then 2 mins, even here in Texas but I have some 10% tint on as well ;) Strange how it cools great at low speeds but on the highway it seems to slip/not cool till the rpms come down, I've tried to watch it with the engine spoole up around 3500-4k but can't seem to tell if it ...

it must be my lucky summer with this 00 neon lol anyone had their a/c act up as it will stop cooling at high speeds/rpms on the highway but works just fine cruising neighiborhood speeds 10-35 mph. junk yards want 100-350 for a column on 125k+ mille neons ( only to break again in a few months )

I'll make a shaft that reliable/serviceable works and post pics here in a few days

so low an behold, after new timing belt kit etc, shocks, front suspension bushings all done, thanks to all the posts here you guys saved me a ton! The ignition key has a lil tiny, puter metal shaft that goes into the ignition switch that broke into 2 lil tiny pieces this weekend way out in bfe. Good...

ya I ran the engine with the alt & ps pump belts off it still whines very strange like its modded lol


unless it's all valve train noise like old school flat heads made

ya no rust here just desert :)


I did soak most of the bolts over night with PB that I could reach I think that helped alot...


but the whine is still there which is strange still trying to solve that one and I got all new pulleys belts alt etc on now.

wow this job was cake took me like 3 hours, no haynes manual either why waste another 30.00 bucks ;) I must be a lukcy one because the puller I used was so tiny it was made for pulling alternator hub off I think as my balance came right off with hardly any extreme muscle... or maybe just a bunch of ...

whew glad I found this place! It's not the IAC. It's a screwup in the programming for the computer. It's called idle undershoot, and to fix it, like you said, drill a 1/8" hole in your throttle plate. Voila, problem solved. did that 5 years ago and now it's back, cleaned everything on the intake side... something somewhere is c...
