Re: Crankshaft tone wheel, reoccurring p0339
BBR I meant the torx that hold the tone wheel onto the crank. I just rechecked them to make sure they were tight. Wasn't sure of the torque needed so just went over them at 25 ft/lbs. They weren't loose at all so I bought new cam/crank sensors by NTK from rockauto and it fixed that code and the misf...

Crankshaft tone wheel, reoccurring p0339
04 R/T engine in 03 SXT. Has been running pretty stupidly for the last 3months. It all started after I had my CKP sensor go out and stalled during rush hr traffic. I cleaned the connector because it was covered in oil and it drove 2miles before stalling again due to me forgetting to install the inta...

Man, something about watching the car at the end of that video come tearing around a corner with the back smashed like that just looked so wrong and bad-ass at the same time. I'm glad that you guys are ok! Hopefully you can get that rear clip on there in good time. Theres just something am...

That's great to hear. I was curious to see where your progress was since I was going that same direction. Kinda bored of the stock untuned 2.0L R/T. I got an 01 2.4l pt head with exhaust mani. I'm hard pressed on the intake aswell as getting the head decked for 10.0CR. Been sitting since labor day t...

Well, My Neon Is Still Only Giving Me 150 Miles Per Tank =/ It Runs Great But IDK What Else I Can Do That's lousy MPG for a Neon. :( My guess is that you have a combination of factors, "stacking up". - Tire pressures - Dirty spark plugs - O2 sensors are 'marginal' (but not bad enough to set a code)...

I am going to start a 2gn ghetto blaster soon to replace that one tho Why? The 1st gen manifold is better then the 2nd gen one. http://blog.modernperformance.com/swapped-a-second-gen-neon-intake-manifold-and-tb-onto-a-first-gen-neon-picsdyno-results  It speaks for itself but I'll say it an...

how are the plug wires? Possible cross firing situation? I still say do a compression check, just to eliminate that possibility. Plugs and wires are new. Just replaced saturday night. Well I just did a compression check and I'm a little confused on the results. Cyl 1-165, Cyl 2-175, Cyl 3-175, Cyl ...

Exhaust popping at idle like if decel.
Okay guys bear with please. 04 full RT swap. I recently had a run in with an improper COP ign setup which caused my pcm to go stupid setting the p0351 over 20 times for about 12mi and misfiring on cyl1-2-4. Junked that and now I'm back on a stock coil. Now since letting it sit for 3 wks I can hear p...

It should only activate when it is at WOT, except below 4900 rpm and above 3000. They are normally closed until WOT is sensed. Even in the RPM windows, with the factory PCM controlling them, they should be closed all the time if a WOT signal is not received from the TPS. So if the TPS voltage is of...

Sent it to WA and Kevin said it had a dead driver for the ign coils. ;_; I just got this r/t pcm vin m...

An MTV question. They aren't opening
They were working up until 2 days ago. Now it feels like it's struggling above 5k rpms. When I had my Syked r/t pcm you knew they were open with IGN on( they slammed open), and IGN off (you heard them slam shut). Now IGN on I hear nothing. I only hear them close when I'm WOT (KOEO) and IGN off. No v...

Yeah I'd never seen that before until I did my rt motor/trans swap. Lol I cracked 3 coil packs. The msd didn't crack, it just pooped itself. I'd love to finally get my dream car (89 Toyota supra) but I wont quit my neon. My friend has went through about 5cars and a bike. All foreign and his shifter ...

Sorry to hear that man. Sounds like your giving up alil early to me. I've only owned my one neon for 4yrs now (first car I ever bought). I've only ever had mounts breaking lol. The one major problem was me replacing a motor due to flood hydrolock 2yrs ago. I just started having these pcm problems bu...
