Plan at this point is to leave the current database intact, disable the forum so no posts can be made while the backup and conversion is taking place. Once disabled make a dump of the database and let phpBB3 pull all the data out of current phpBB2 database and populate the one used for phpBB3. That...

Yeah, I've seen the pages upon pages of fixes to get it to work properly. It's worth a shot and I have contemplated having a go on it but right now I'm not dead set on it. Yeah, I'm really dragging my feet on it. Mostly due to hoping for poyntesm to finish. Last time as soon as I nearly gave up wai...

It is. I've done it before for grambo's ACR. It's quite the PITA. The thing is, the garage won't be with us for much longer. :( When I update to phpBB3 the Garage won't be able to move over as the developer seems to have abandoned the project. It looks he was close to being finished but hasn't had ...

Wow, it has nothing to do with anything or "beef" between the two forums. It's the sole fact or performance of the throttle body itself and the price. You guys at Modern should have taken into consideration about the neon drivers that have the NGC 03-05 years when you produced and advertised this t...

Thank you guys for all your support ! Kevo, I think we got a total of maybe 10 calls altogether from customers about this supposed limp mode issue. With us not having a 03-05 model Neon, and not having any local customers we could test this on, it was hard to replicate. Dirty laundry between Neons....

I have to take everyone's comments about the 03-05 models a step further. Not only was there a high probability of pushing the car into limp mode, the fact that you refused to even acknowledge that the problem even existed made things worse. I bought a 60mm throttle body back in '05 and trying to ge...

If for some reason it does not charge after getting it back together, check the fusible link between the alternator, and starter. (It is near the starter.) Any idea where this is at specifically. I haven't removed the intake yet but i'm having a hell of a time seeing anything beyond the two wires o...

Well. put everything back together and got the battery charged. Everything turned on just fine. got roughly 12.7 volts from the battery, 14.2 with the car on and the alternator running. Took it for a drive for a few miles. Took it home and now just turned it on after being parked for a few hours. Th...

well, went to two different auto parts stores. both said the alternator tested fine. Just waiting for them to finish charging up the battery.

Any other suggestions on what it could be?

Check the voltage off the battery before, and then check the voltage while its' running. If it's higher when it's running, the alternator is working. Most batteries will sit around 12v when they are charged but not in use. The alternator should charge it somewhere in the 13s, or very low 14s. well,...

What's the voltage while the car is running? unfortunately, the car isn't running at all atm. :( any way of testing the alternator while it's still on the car? If you have a spare laying around (like I do), I would try swapping it out, to see if that makes a difference. I have collected way too man...

Have you checked all the engine grounds? The ones i can see seem fine. Does anyone have a list of where all of them are at? Car dead. Won't start up

edit: just noticed i posted this in the wrong section. :owned: As a few may know here. I moved on to a new car and recently gave my neon to my younger sister. Just weeks into handing her the keys, the car died. Prior to this, i changed the alternator and battery. Everything seem to fire up just fine...

I will ask. If it doesn't rain down here( looks like it will) then it should be off the car this weekend. If not, it will be a few days more until we can get something done. I will ask them how much they want for it and send you a pm about it. :)

"As far as I know", the throttle body on the 2nd generation Neon is unique to the Neon...... I do not know of any other vehicles that have a similar T/B. I hope that I am wrong.
