What size tires are on the car now? Still the 205/50/16's ? Also are you planning to race the car in any organized events that will require a roll cage? If so you might want to get the welds looks at because in the one pic from the last page it looked pretty boogered up and the guys at tech and be v...

I have had a Hurst shifter (old SRT4 one) in my first gen for forever. Of course I had to do some modifications but it works like a champ. I also have had an original Hurst shifter in my 05 SRT4 since I bought it in 2007 and I have loved that thing since the day I put it in. I dont feel like mine ha...

Here is a dyno chart of my current 2.4 that I made from stuff laying around the shop. Nice numbers Tom and Jeff. Jeff I think sometimes big cams are overrated. Dont get me wrong you have to have big cams to make power I know, but after building some pretty big N/A 2.4's I've had luck both ways. It seems to me that the engine combo makes all the difference. As an example I made 256whp...

I think the power steering pump is actually the same as the PT, its just the reservior thats the difference. The money to use the SRT intake would be well worth the cash.

Keep a lookout on turboedimportparts on ebay. They have some decent prices on intakes from time to time. Some are even best offer with free shipping. Dont forget you will have to get the radiator neck, the throttle body, the throttle body mount, and the power steering. The SRT intake is the best cho...

No reving youe2.0 to 9000 doesnt make it part Honda. It does however make you slightly insane

Factory Cd player ERR display

I have a 02 ACR with the factory CD player, and after about 40 to 45 min of playing a CD it will display ERR and not eject the CD in the correct fashion. You have to grap the CD and pull it out because it will try to take it right back in. Is this from overheating? Thats what I think it is from my e...

Ive been following the post on Neons.org and it has been slow but progress has been made. I personally can't wait until this is done especially for the 96-99 PCMs because it will lead to some really nice HP gains for a lot of people with the right know-how, but might lead to a lot of blown motors fr...

If you are going to stay N/A and expect to add more bolt ons or a magnum head, ect... then the magnum intake is a good addition with a RPM window switch to open the butterflies at the desired time.

I just built a N/A magnum motor with everything new, including some .040 over Sealed Power DOHC pistons that are hyperuetectic. The bolt pattern is totally different and you are better off switching to the "old" 2.0 head if you want to use the DOHC Neon intake. The Neon head does flow a little better with larger exhaust valves and a better exhaust port. A little porting and swapping in some "old" exhaust valves solves that p...

I think the swap could be done, and if you just want something different go for it, especially if you have the means. As far as a Intake Manifold I would use an SRT4 manifold. It has good size runners and no 90 degree turn like the 1st Gen Neon DOHC Intake. It also has a very well sized plenum for a stock 2.4 with bolt-ons. You might have to get the throttle body also not sure of the interchangability with the PT TB.

Unless you have a lot of access to a fab and machine shop i would not even think aboit it. The reason why the magnum, 2.4, srt swaps are par for the course is because they work. The magnum head and intake will give you a nice gain, even better with the right cam choice. If you just run the magnum intake you will have to use a rpm switch to control the butterfly valves.
