I saw where the sensor was and ended up just taking it to a shop. Cost me 40$ and saved me a ton of aggravation. It's easier to reach from underneath.

[i I haven't had an issue with the Timken unit I installed in my how to , and currently the driver side unit/both fronts is/are still good with over 200,000 miles. I'd go with Timkens any day of the week, given a choice. :thumbup: Generally, I have not had many problems with parts that I have order...

Well yeah that's what mine look like from the back side same as yours. It's the front where the studs are like in the pic i linked that i can see the bearings and grease.

Ok thanks. Yeah that's how the old ones looked taking them off. And that's how all the new ones looked so I figured it was normal. I couldn't see a straight on shot in your how to or I might have noticed. I'll order the timkens from rockauto.. Those will have the seal I'm assuming correct? Got a pic...

torqued to spec, followed your how-to when i did them Stupid question, am i supposed to be able to see these bearings like this? when i swapped the last one there was some gunk/grease and a bit of rust around the nut, so water apparently got in. its a 20min job to swap the rear, so ill throw this on...

granted i dont put more than 3k a yr on the car, but i have been through 3 rear hub bearings in the past 1.5yrs. replaced both rears, then replaced drivers rear, now drivers rear is whiiiirrrrrring again... heavy rains means we drive through some high water now and again in florida parking lots. 6" ...

update, went and got a new key made that was solid metal, instead of the rubber grip, got some PB blaster from work, and a quick smack with some vice grips it finally freed up, so i got it pulled and undid the battery cables until i get the new part... probably just gonna use the new keys, and not e...

made a post last year, at 74k, after a decent drive, where im up to 3krpm or so, whenever i come to a light and rpms drop to idle 750ish, my oil light dings. i have no leaks, no smoke, no low oil, no driveability issues, just the damn ding. after much googling, im guessing that sensor/ sending unit ...

yes it was cleaned and level rechecked before the pic was taken. car was sitting overnight and checked cold this morning. Just ran to the grocery store, which was only a couple mile round trip and no ding, i was at low speed and low rpm the whole way.. seems higher rpms on main road did it, i will h...

can too much oil cause that oil light to come on? like i said, just had oil change recently, and checked the level cold this morning and the level was well above the X in the MAX lettering. with as little as a i drive, finally getting a little trip in yesterday for 30-45min got me too much pressure?...

the rear hub and bearing is a one peice unit, just junked the old and replaced with new.... took 19$ and 20minutes... all is good now..

update, jacked up both sides again and spun the tires, def driver side noise, broke it down, looks like bearing is making the noise, it is basically new which is why i ruled it out, installed last year, less than 3k miles on it, but i guess its a bad batch.. ordered a new one, will install next week...
