Would this be the same on a regular neon? Just curious because with the old car after sitting for a couple months starting it up there was definitely an air type noise coming from the vents. It would go away when accelerating, then once you shifted and were crusing at speed it would come right back.

02 w/ Manual trans, average 35 on 100% highway commute if I can keep it at 65. Traveling at 75 is 30mpg

Car is running now, had some time off was the fuel pump. Although minus two wheels somebody overnight stole both passenger side wheels...

Hey guys, So my car was salvage titled by the insurance company as the damage to the driver side doors was more than the value of the car. Still was my daily driver for a few months until the reg expired this month. They won't let me re-register without getting the car inspected... and now a few day...

Ok after doing some searching rear main is on the trans side so that cannot be where all that oil is coming from... Oil sender switch and cam seal were done a year or two ago... Leaks maybe a drop a day, if that. Might just be leftover from when sender switch was leaking before?

Changed oil 5w-30 Royal Purple + RP Filter (deal at amazon awhile ago)

Thanks! What years have dual fans? I was thinking a Pick-n-pull might have what I need. I grabbed one at Pick N Pull, it was $40-60 I think. Had to get one because all the replacement radiators I could find are for automatic trans so the tabs were different than the manual fan and I needed an autom...

what do 2.4l engines run in the jy around you? Seem to be anywhere from $500-1000 $800 is what i see them at usually. 2.0l $400-500 This made me laugh. Your Neon took out a truck. Control arms and outer tie rods are installed. Redneck shop around the corner was super helpful since the had a lift. Snapped the front swaybar endlinks putting it back on but thats OK because today the SRT front bar goes on along with prothane endlinks. Also at Oreilly picked up Felpro oil pan gask...

I swapped my 02 for an 03 bumper from onlinepartsbin.com. They also painted it steel blue, there was some overspray or rough spots along the edges of the bumper but nothing that was a big deal to me. Fit is good at least

Had a 2.4 turbo in it, then was swapped back to the stock 2.0. Kept the trans in cause of the phantom grip, and gas mileage i suppose.

I installed the srt cluster on my base 02 neon and it has the abs, brake and security light on can i just unplug the abs security bulbs ? or will taking the abs bulb out not make the brake light work fine?
