Rocker Arm/Lifter Play
Should there be any side to side motion on the rocker arms/lifters? I notice most of them are snug and have a small amount of side to side motion, but one of the exhaust rockers has a noticeable amount of side to side play in it, enough to cause a click sound as it hits the tab that bolts the assemb...

Removing Transmission Gears, with Transmission in Car
I heard it was possible, by removing the cover on the back of the transmission, but how much is involved other than removing those bolts that hold on the cover? Do I have to remove the shift levers on top of the transmission as well? I'm talking about the Synchronizer Gears

60mm IAC Adapter for 2000 neons
I just bought a MPX 60mm TB, and I relized that it does not come with the IAC adapter. Where can I get one? The site does not appear to sell them! If they do I cant find the link.
Anyways, I do have a newer style IAC, is there anyway to make one work on the older style pigtail?
Thanks

Okay this is a small update. I notice it only does it on start ups, when I drive around town come to an idle at stop light's it does just fine; only when I start it up does it act up. I know it's running on a couple cylinders because it bucks around when those two fire and other two don't. After a f...

I got new plugs and wires, the original coil was the coil that came with the car and had 154xxx miles on it. This one was from an 04 sxt I found in a junk yard, I dont know how many miles were on it but I honestly thought that it would cure the driving issues. I'll try everything you guys said, I no...

Possible Coil Problem
Okay, well this is occurring way to frequently now so I'm going to post something about it. Basically, I start my car up, and it idles for a sec then the rpms drop to about 500 and the car sounds like it's running on like 1 cylinder, I get a very strong smell of gas as it's loping like a motorcycle....

Earlier you said to turn the crank clock wise of TDC? I've been turning it counter clockwise to take the slack off the water pump side this whole time? Your suppose to loosen the slack on the tensionor side? And yes I installed the mag springs like you mentioned, I remember another post somewhere we...
I installed a 04 Litens Tensioner. One thing I noticed is it does not spin nearly as freely as the original tensionor. Is that reason for worry? Like the original tensionor would spin 50 times before stopping, this one does it like 10-11 times. I'm sorry I ask so many questions Bill, I'm just trying...
Well I've also noticed when I start up sometimes, there's a clacking noise coming from the timing belt area, like almost like the rocker arms or something but it usually goes away. I've done research on the noise and some say it's the tensioner but I've got all the bolts torqued down to spec. If onl...
Well I finished re-setting the timing belt again, and the cam mark is still about half a tooth from the mark on the inner timing cover. Do you think that is enough to set a code? Every time I tried putting the belt on while both notches were at their respective position, the belt would not seat prop...
Yep I tightened it down right. I'm just going to do it all over again tonight, it would be alot easier if the underdrive pulley would come off and I could see the mark on the crank sprocket better. I can just see the outline of it from above. Here's another question, when you have the crank half a n...

Well, I got this code yesterday after I finished changing my timing belt, so I checked the timing, and it was just fine, but I re-did it anyways and this morning I gave it a test drive, and I got the code once again. Everything is in time still. I swapped the cam magnet in the same position to the C...

Underdrive Pulley Removal
Well I thought tonight would be the night I finally change my damn timing belt. I went to use the harmonic balancer puller with the three holes for three bolts and each one of them just snapped off inside the pulley. So now I'm :banghead: I have no idea what to do and how to get the damn thing off. ...

Porting Advice? *Pics*
Well after doing hours and hours of research and getting all the tools needed, this is the result of about 10 hours of non-stop porting. I know it's still alittle rough, as I have not even started using the sanding rolls yet. But I was wondering is there anything else I could do that you see here? I...

I know my center motor motor mount is shot as well, I can take a flat head and see cracks all around it. I think if your Torque Struts are in good shape, and actually aligned, it'll be okay, I'm gonna replace my motor mount when I change the timing belt soon. You sure your not running open header? :...

I'm not trying to really make it look like new, I just want to make sure all the debris from porting and bits of dirt that is in the oil and water galleries, make their way out before I put this on my car. I just want it to be clean on the inside really. Something to get rid of the varnish and small...

HOT tanking Cylinder Head
Okay, at work (Bojangles), we boil out the frying vats with water and degreaser for about an hour. This removes all carbon and what not, I was going to drop my cylinder head in there to do the same thing, but, the vat heats the water to a minimum of like 225 degrees and it goes up to 400. Would this...
