Re: Random posting

^Hahaha thats crazy. Its nice when insurance works out in your favor.. So how does that work out, I am sure it varies from state to state. But if they total out your PT how do you make it road worthy again with a rebuilt salvage title? I know out here you cannot drive a salvage title car on the road...

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

Typical teenager who is not a car person :( it sounds like.^ Well I got my "altezza" style tail lights from eBay and put them in. The gasket is really crappy compared to the OEM gasket. There is quite a bit of a gap on the passenger one that has all the plastic pin tabs. One was broke on the drivers...

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

Happy New Year to you too! Yeah the rear on the 2gn Neons is probably the ugliest part of the car. It really is simple and very very plain. Which isn't bad, I am just trying a couple different things to spice up the rear a little since that is what cars usually see anyway :P :P. I can always revert ...

Re: Dodge/Chrysler News

Yeah new cars are stupid expensive. But they are very nice and refined for the most part. I really like those Hyundai Veloster N's. $30k brand new. Ooooorrrrr there is a 13k mile SRT-4 for $12,500 in Michigan right now. Hahaha an extra $18k~ would be nice. Damn a 1999 Jeep brand new. I bet that was ...

Never even heard of Grub Hub. I don't think I have ever ordered delivery in my life. Yup, not even pizza. I usually just make my own food if I stay at home.
Sucks about that headache with your food. And what a joke that is with them deleting things :(

Yeah I am more of a fan of hard tops myself. But if I had a convertible I would have the top down all the time when the weather was nice. Hopefully with all that money they build a quick hot hatch/sport compact with a manual transmission. I still want to test drive a Fiat 124 Abarth with a 6 speed. Love the looks of them! Saw a white one at a car meet. It was so nice inside and out.

Re: 2003 SRT DD

I had a shop put a 3'' o2 housing when I was stock turbo on my silver SRT-4. It was a huge PITA for him. The lower heatshield was the hardest part he said and what I have read. He modified it to re-use it. A lot of guys just cut it off and don't even run it. I didn't run it when I went Stage 3 with ...

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

Turns out I have 18 psi worth of springs in my WG. Car seems to pull nicely without the boost controller and the higher boost. So on 18psi right now and no knock. I plan on redoing the entire fuel system for next year and getting another tune. That is the plan anyways. Not in any rush really. We got...

Re: 2003 SRT DD

Well Kansas has no emission testing out here. Not sure about Washington.

I say do whatever is cheaper. I am sure a high flow cat as opposed to catless won't be much of a difference. The full thermal 3'' exhaust is the best sounding exhaust I have heard on a stock turbo SRT-4.

Looks good. What is that red anodized piece to the left of the battery? Looks like a flashlight. Hallman Manual Boost Controller. Kind of funny you mentioned that. Actually just got done taking it off today. So now I have a vacuum line going from my compressor on my turbo straight to my wastegate. ...

True, but plastic does become brittle over multiple heat cycles and crack/break. Yeah interiors have got a lot better in newer cars.

Yeah I never had an oil filter back off either.. That is weird. Oil filter doesn't even have to be on that that tight. I just go a 1/8th of a turn after it gets snug.

Worked on the Neon a tiny bit. Took intake off to inspect comrpessor side of turbo. Everything looks good there. Tightened a T-bolt on the discharge pipe of the turbo. The newer pedals would look great, but I just don't think I care enough to go through the work to upgrade them. They're more than just covers, aren't they? Wouldn't I need to replace the assembly? Not sure. Looks like the clutch and brake are covers https://www.srtforums.com/threads/04-05-to-03-ped...

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

Oh yeah, $1k + . I should of just bought a new kit.

Trying to sell my cracked manifold and o2 housing from my old setup. No bites on it at $240 shipped. Thinking about getting the crack welded and relisting it. Might have better luck.
