Re: 2002 R/T Built to Death

Wow!!! So sorry man! Such a bummer! Main thing is everyone is mainly okay with no major injuries. Make sure the guy at fault pays for EVERYTHING. I would factor in the rarity of the R/T and how much the car meant to you and all the time, money and effort you put into it. Did you hit a car in front o...

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

Still a really beautiful looking Dodge, though! Got an '02 Chrysler Neon myself, but I think I'll grab some inspiration from your SRT. (I love the good ol' Chrysler emblem on the front instead of Dodge  ) Now to look through the rest of the pages... Shame to have some of the progress posted lo...

Re: 2002 R/T Build V2

Lip on a lip :) Ran the home depot lip on my old SRT-4. I have mixed opinions on it. Its like a "soul patch" for the car. lol. Does make the front end appear more aggressive. Nice and clean ride

Re: Dodge/Chrysler News

Hyundai Denies "Groundless" Rumor It Plans To Buy FCA And FCA refuses to comment. Only a few days ago we reported Hyundai and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles were holding secret merger talks. This really didn’t come as much of a surprise, considering FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne has been very vocal about hi...

Nice. hope to see pictures with the new lamps installed. I bet it will look 100x better. Yeah if you don't put many coatings of dip on its a PITA to take off. But if you do many layers it should be pretty easy

Re: Charms Project Log

Wow poor car. Very nice you are turning it into a better condition ride. I am not sure I would want to invest that much into it seeing all that rust everywhere. I would check your front brakes to see how much they are wearing since you have no rear brakes at all

I agree on taking the black off too on the front fascia

Yeah the worse part is breaking in a new clutch. 500 STOP AND GO MILES. Remember that. I would log the miles when I would go into town. Interstate/highway miles didn't count. Seems to take forever haha

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

It could of been worse haha. I figured it was going to happen. No guarantee that it wouldn't crack but it did. But of course I didn't get that disclaimer until after it was done. Not mad since I figured it was going to happen. Really not that bad. But no more rubbing to my knowledge. I will get pict...

Interesting. Not sure how much got rolled. You are right very hard to tell in the pictures. Are you rubbing anymore in the front? What made you decide to do the rears too? Glad you posted this. I have an appt. tomorrow to have mine professionally rolled. I hope they come out well. Either that or go ...

Wow got another tune from my tuner. Just added timing. Car pulls a bit harder now. AFR's are spot on around 11.4 to 11.5. Me likey! It just so happened I came across a white Focus RS before doing my first pull on this revision haha! So of course he wanted to play as did I. Just a heads up this is a ...

I hear yah and respect your opinion! I love the white on white! So clean. I can do another rim in the future if I get bored. Probably a bright red but it will be on a different set of alloys. My brother got some bright red Motegi's on his silver 07 civic si and they look killer. Nothing new really. ...

Very nice on the plugs. I agree! It is very nice not to have a spoiler in the rear. The SXT isn't too bad though as opposed to the giant basket handle

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

Yeah love it without the wing. Don't really need it. No more unwanted attention hopefully. I removed it on my silver car like 2 weeks after I got it and put a wingless decklid on. The wing does add a bit of flare to it. I really hated it back when I had my silver one. But as the years passed I grew ...

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

Lots of work on the Neon. Got the BC's on. Took my sweet time. Adjusted them all to my liking and got the car aligned. Still ended up bottoming out and rubbing my fender after my dumbass did a pull going down a hill with a bridge at the bottom [-X  Other than that no rubbing issues at all and ...

Yikes! Yup same thing happened to me. Not sure why its on the passenger side all the time. I posted on the book a while back and people had issues with the passenger side too. Drivers side is fine. Yeah I ended up heating it up with a hair driver, use rubber mallet and tapped on it to fold it back u...

Re: Help me to pick a new car

It's a mildly detuned version of the Civic Type R engine. I'm sure you could probably get it up to R power with just a tune. I still think the old manual V6 coupe was the best version, but the new one is pretty nice. Remember when the 13.9-second SRT-4 was crazy fast? Now the average Accord almost ...

Re: Rubbing issue. Input please!

Had the same issue on my last set of tires I had for the white car with just 225 tires on 17x7.5 +35 wheels with BC coilover and camber plates. I think my main issue was the front while the rear wasn't as bad. Since I had MannyZ adjustable control arm bars on the rear, I was able to pull those in s...

Ooooh la la. With rear camber plates.

Car has shorter endlinks in the front and adjustable ones in the rear from the full hotchkis setup :)

Re: Rubbing issue. Input please!

I ended up ordering BC type BR coilovers with rear camber plates. Got a great deal on them shipped. I am tired of the rough ride with these Hotchkis without bumpstops. I have a feeling the front struts are worn out well. Lots of people blow the struts out fairly quickly with the Hotchkis springs on ...
