Running a cam?
When I had my block decked, I just had them clean it up. I think .015"? Don't do a lot with the block. You can't un-deck it if you end up with interference... Shave the head, do the head gasket mod, and be happy with darn near 11.

The reason I don't think it's a connection issue, is it rises upon braking(on mine). But I personally don't know of anything other than a cap that can give you an average voltage of something without being a computer chip($). So I just assumed chrysler would have used a cap to perform this function ...

I know I'm kinda bringing this back from the dead, but, the pt stuff isn't just a bolt on affair. If you look at the neon calipers, they don't have any brackets, whereas the pt calipers do have brackets. You need to swap to the pt knuckles. And not just any pt knuckles. You need a specific year rang...

[rant] Guys, use your brains when it comes to which stores you buy these from. If a part is really cheap, chances are someone cut corners to make it. If the part is very expensive, someone is price gouging. These sensors are not hard or expensive for companies to manufacture correctly. But even with...

I just run some cheapo regular 5w30 anytime I break in a new engine. Change it after 50-100-500-1000. But that's generally for new rings against a fresh cylinder wall. I'm not entirely sure you need to break in a roller cam... The most I would do is some assembly lube to make sure it is ok until you...

What is the main reason you want a tb bigger than 60mm? Unless you are pushing into the 400+ range, I really see the bigger tb hurting your off boost response and drivability... 60mm should be fine unless you are tracking it and need something to really fill out the top end with a larger sacrifice o...

The 2.4 will only benefit if the area of travel is not flat. Otherwise, at the same rpm, you are using 20% more fuel. Cruising with a 2.0 is more efficient than cruising with a 2.4. It's hard to recoup that. My idea of a high mpg neon is a weight reduced, high compression 2.0 sohc with a 3.55 trans,...

02 R/T 2.4 PT swap manifold and tb?
So I picked up a 2.4 out of a 2001 PT Cruiser. I also picked up an NSRT4 intake manifold with the spacer. My question is, do I fab up an adapter and use the neon tb, or does the NSRT4 tb and sensors work with the neon PCM? While we're at it, what do I do for a MAP sensor?

No, I'm saying the gauges went choppy again, the TRAC OFF, ABS, and BRAKE all came on as soon as I plugged in the non-DRBIII scan tool. The coolant temp gauge became erratic, the odometer would not register additional mileage, and the oil light, CEL, and alarm lights would come on intermittently the...

Wow, my grammar is horrible in the first post... RESURRECTION!!!!! So anyway, I never did get another cluster. After about a week or two, things went back to normal with cluster. Lights were working normal, gauges stopped being choppy, all was good. Until today... Plugged in my scanner to check some...

Looks like it has good reviews on their website. Then again they are all in broken English and the entire site. The longer I have this unit, the more cool stuff I find out. I can load different logos. Custom or pick from a bunch. I can change the backgrounds. Every button does something on each scr...

I know by far I'm no expert on 500 horsepower neons, but isn't a 75mm tb overkill? I don't really see that being the bottleneck in the system. How much would really be gained over a 60mm and how much drivability would be lost? But then again, how drivable is a 500hp neon? Would it even matter? Or wo...
