I'm liking the green. I need a new ride but cash is tight. I've been looking for a beater but what will you take for this car? I can deal with cash and a 2000 neon mtx with a blown motor and a good amount of of custom exterior work.

I just installed a Banhoff stage 1 (rated up to 244 hp) they're well reviewed and this one is awesome. the price can't be beat ($175 for the stage 1) according to their page they offer them up to stage 7 and list the hp ratings of each stage. They have an ebay store and offer free shipping. unless ...

I know i'm late on this but here's my .02... aside from thickness Stainless steel is stainless steel so the main concern should be the exhaust note. If you end up not liking it you can always change the muffler and / or add a resonator. the other thing is you need to realize that this is not a compl...

I was reading some of your posts about the stratus clutch O.D. will it work in the 2.0 with the cable clutch set up? ( IIRC you have a hydro tranny) I understand you have it for its ability to handle more power but that is not a concern for me. MY main issue is longevity. I don't want to be buying c...

so it's a year later and I have to replace my clutch already. it didn't even last 12000 miles. I'm getting a lot of clutch chatter now too. That caused the upper and lower strut tower braces (engine mounts) to tear. To say i'm disappointed with banhoff is an understatement. any money saved was spent...

This is so not for me. it is nice looking for sure but it looks like a ricer now. no one would know it is an american car. It is definitely a show car, all looks but nothing practical about it. I respect and appreciate all the love, money, and hard work you put into it but personally I would never w...

Thank OD you saved me a lot of headaches. the set up was not as complete as he said. Installing cruise control...

My car is about as base as neons come and doesn't have cruise control. I have an opportunity to get a complete cruise control set up from a craigslister cheap. What would be involved in installing it on my 00 mtx? what would I need to be sure the deal i'm looking at includes?

In general most products are garbage but there are some that do work. I use lucas fuel injector cleaner about once a month or so. chevron techron is another fuel system cleaner with a good rep. I also use lucas oil additive. My car was burning oil (no point in using synthetic if it's burning up) and...

center caps

This may be a stupid question but I just want to be sure before making a move... Are all the OEM center caps the same size? Yikes! at that price you may want to buy those generics and just put a hole on the drivers side front mat for that loop. or try a junk yard. The OEM ones are pretty crappy anyway. Mine have heel holes worn right through them.

I have that on mine too. I believe it is vinyl paint. I plan on removing the top of the dash, wet sanding it lightly with 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper and respraying it, probably with duplicolor vinyl/fabric paint. If I can't match the interior then I'll be painting the center console, the pillars, an...

a pressure washer on a low setting should be okay to use, say 1000 - 1400 PSI just don't linger with the wand. keep it moving. High PSI will definitely peel it off. try adding cheap (store brand?) dish detergent to the flow too.

I've been looking at wheels and came across these... http://newyork.craigslist.org/brk/pts/3834859571.html I like them a lot but I am concerned about the size. They are 17x7.5 with a 35mm offset. will they fit my 2000 neon with a set of 225/45/17's? I know the bolt pattern and the hub size are okay....

That would definitely be an interesting and unique look. I don't know measurements but going by the fact that the 200 is a mid size car and the neon / srt4 is a small car I think you would be trimming away the bumper to make the grille fit rather than fiber glassing to fill gaps. If you think you ca...
