High idle after Magnum intake install

So today I finally gotten around to installing my Magnum intake manifold. The actuator doesn't work so i just took out the butterfly valves. When I started the car up after the install it was idling at round 2000 rpm. I took it around the block to see if that would even it out, but when I parked it,...

I swapped out the plugs a few hours ago and took it for a quick run to the store and it runs like normal again. But one thing that is new is that there is a bit of smoke coming out of the exhaust. I'm assuming that is from some oil that got into a couple of the cylinders thanks to some leaking spark...

P0302 code and bad spark plug questions

So earlier today I was driving and while I was idling at a stop light my car suddenly started to idle very badly and the check engine light started to flash. When I got home I did the key dance and code P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected. I pulled the spark plug and it looked like this. http://i.imgu...

You do need to removed the resonator box when installing your CAI. IIRC there should only be three bolts holding it on. If you are still having clearance issues with the splash guard, you should be able to rotate the CAI forward enough so you can install the splash guard.

I was wondering "why" replace the bellows tube but I seem to ask a ton of questions and decided against it. and just go with what Jeff had told me. Thank you for letting me know! I replaced the bellows tube when I installed my CAI. The flexibility of the stock bellows tube allowed the throttle body...

Yeah, I spent a good chunk of this morning installing a bypass on my CAI so I don't freak out every time I run over a puddle.

And the rain is kind of a good thing, it will make it a bit harder for people to notice me drooling over their Neons.

I'll be there!

I talked to a cop at the gas station after dropping off the monitor at a electronics recycling place. And he said that it wouldn't be a problem because it doesn't block my view but if I get pulled over for something else, they might tack on a written warning about it.

I've found that coasting to red lights and down hills will increase mpg. Stay under 2,500 rpms when shifting and don't go over 1/2 throttle. Try to travel at 50-55mph when possible, that's where you'll get the best mpg. ^This^ How you drive the car has a huge impact on your mpg. Also, try to use cr...

The first port you looked at in the video is the low pressure port. Its right next to the windshield washer fluid tank.

No, I added it to the low pressure port. If I remember correctly, the ports are different sizes so the hose will only attach to the low pressure port.

It seems like a good way to save a few bucks while filling up. But at the moment, its some what impractical because I would have to drive a good 30 minutes out of my way to get to a gas station that sells e85.

That is a pretty cool little spreadsheet! I had no idea that E85 had such a high octane rating. Do you know what percentage of ethanol we can run in our cars before it wreaks havoc on our fuel systems?
