so are you saying I can run a shorter belt and leave the compressor intact as well?

as for the freon, yes it is very illeagal to drain into the atmosphere. you must have it properly evacuated, any shop can do this for you

alright so i found the part number, just needed to do some searching.

gates K040440 seems to be the belt I need.


so is this all I will need to completely remove my a/c system?
can i remove all of the plumbing leading up to my firewall?

a/c delete! ?

hey everyone, like most of us neon owners, my ac compressor has bit the dust... however i never use a/c and i would like to just rip all the plumbing out of there and cap it all off. my question to ya'll is: can i go right to running a shorter belt, or do i have to install another dummy wheel someho...
