update:
still deader than a door-nail. tried a different coil, the chances of two coils being dead are probably slim. so my next question is where the hell do I go now? I threw the OBDII scanner on it as a last ditch effort... nothing but the ECT code (P0118) that it's had for forever...

alright, update: I did indeed have the plugs switched. however, I'm still having the same issue. no spark. is there anything else that it could be? could it possibly be an ignition fuse or relay of some sort? I'm also going to try swapping in a different ignition coil or two from my stock (yeah I ha...

no spark

Hey guys, I have a 2000 SE MTX that I'm currently working on. I just did a head gasket job on it (my first one ever, so I'm nervous) I got it all back together and am now dealing with a car that isn't getting spark. I'm afraid it may be the coil pack. The first terminal puts out 5 volts when ignitio...

:withstupid: call me stupid... I don't know what JY stands for. haha

Also how do I go about removing the grommet from the valve cover? and is it possible to reuse said grommet on a different bolt, if I were to buy M6-1.0x30mm hex flanged cap screws?

magnum intake

Does the Magnum intake benefit ONLY from a specific head? I have a 2000 SOHC and am wondering if there is specific porting on a specific head to utilize the magnum head. Can I also get pictures of the different heads and ports to back up some advice? I want to be 100% ready before undertaking this p...

My right side motor mounts are... WAY worse... I'm pretty sure the inner bolt flange is completely detached. The rubber is totally shot and dry rotted... I suppose it's really time to take care of that..

I realize that you said not the valve noise, but I really believe that is the issue here... hard to tell without hearing it in person. I've found that you can always find exactly where a noise is originating by using a small section of pipe and placing it to your ear. move the pipe around (top to bo...

Success!!

Thank you guys for all of the info. I managed to find a really nice brand new replacement K frame (subframe... whatever you care to call it...) It was a fairly simple replacement, however one of the ball joints didn't want to let go... so I screwed up the CV boot trying to ghetto-rig it... so that g...

Thanks for your quick response. being that mine is a 2000 and a lot of what i'm seeing say that the cradle is different from 2002 to 2005 from the 2000 to 2001... is there truly a difference?

Engine cradle replacement- PLEASE HELP!!!

My 2000 2gn mtx sohc recently developed a rather large issue that I'm not sure how to handle. the sub-frame/ engine cradle developed a large crack (rust being the culprit) just above the lower control arm on the right side. I love this car dearly, and would love to see it road-worthy again. please l...

SUSPENSION CLEARANCE: your wheels are 10 mm (0.4'') closer to suspension/brakes components. Acceptable for most cars. FENDERS CLEARANCE: The same. WHEEL WELLS CLEARANCE: Will fill out the wheelwell by extra 3 mm. Almost no difference this is assuming you're running 195-45's or a similar diameter tir...

Did you torque the wheel bearing to spec? I'd say if you had done so, the hub it's self may have some form of damage... replacement assemblies are not terribly expensive from auto parts stores (advance auto, autozone, napa...etc...) That's what I recommend.

thank you for the how-to. this was quite helpful with my build. unfortunately I broke both of those bolts in the rear lateral... not a good day... they're about $40 from the chrysler garage... not cheap. couldn't even find a grade 8 bolt to fit it... oh well... the results were definitely worth it. ...

basic ways to increase power

I have a 2000 ES 5spd that I haven't done anything to other than a cold air intake. what other mods should I consider to get some more power? I'm on a pretty small budget, but I'd like to see what my options are.

Rear disk brakes... 15's?

Will my stock 15's fit over SRT rear brakes...I know they won't fit in the front, but I'm not changing those yet.

So, my question is will stock 15" snowflake wheels fit over the REAR SRT-4 brakes?

So I have an issue where my car alarm will go off for quite a while, stop for a while, then start going again. when I disarm it with the FOB (by pressing unlock) it won't let me start the car. I just disconnected the battery and reconnected it; all works as it should. however I'll be keeping a close...

VW wheels

I'm looking at buying a set of VolksWagen Montreal II wheels for my 2000 es. I'm not sure if they are going to fit as I'm pretty sure they have a different lug size (Dodge being a 12mm lug and VW being a 14mm...) any suggestions?
