back in the day, my dad would pour ATF down the carb, and smoke out the neighborhood. Do not think that will help these new computer controlled cars, probably just freak out the computer.

I am thinking of getting a head from the pick n pull, but no way to tell if it is good or not before pulling it. Have thought about just pulling mine and having it worked on, but I do not know what that would cost. What years will work 2003-2005? any other cars? is the head the same on a 2.4 as on m...

p0301 missing at idle, and low power

I have been reading here about this issue, So I just want to check my conclusion. I swapped plugs and wires, and it is still a p0301. I ohmed the injectors, and they all are at the same of about 13.3 ohms. Then I did a compression test. #1 50 #2-4 about 135 Added a little oil to the cylinder and rep...

but that door is driven by a cable? it seems to adjust fine from the knob. And why did it just start working? If it bound up, and I cycled that knob on the way home, to no change, probably about 20 minutes. then the next morning, nothing is wrong, and has been fine since...

ok, it is working fine today. What gives?
I am thinking maybe the blower sucked something in that blocked the evap core? And has now moved?
Or what? If the door was broken, why would it start working again.

Can I pull the blower without pulling the entire dash? it would allow me to see that there is nothing in it blocking the fins.
Not looking like fun from that post

blower is not dead. I can hear the fan. Just get nothing out of the vents.
The recirc door makes a change in the sound of the fan. But still nothing out of the vents.

no air from heater vents

I was coming home tonight, and lost all air from my heater. The fan runs, you can hear a change when changing the recirc. knob. but there is not any air coming out of the thing. The air was not getting very warm, but no air is not an option, where do I start and why no air, on any setting hot or cold.

so the hose that plugs into the IAC comes from the back of the engine compartment, and drops under the car. I assume it is running to the tank? Also the one from the valve cover goes to the small filter in the air box. I had both of these off, did I swap them? No codes yet, it was a long trip home l...

I have not paid attention to if the fans kick on at startup. I will get a scanner on it and see if there is anything. I was just doing the key to display the codes in the dash.
The gauge works is that from the same sensor?

will not idle after it got cold outside

So I pulled and cleaned the throttle body this weekend, and everything ran fine. Today, the temps fell to the teens (cold for here and colder than it has been) and it will not idle. After 20-30 min it idles fine. I unplugged the iac, and nothing changed. but I did this with the car running. How do I...

I just did this, that is the part, took about 45 minutes to jack the car, change it and refill the fluid. Then took 2 days of driving before the light stayed off. Now it has been off for over a month. No hurry as previously said.

my issues are with the back and not the bottom. From those pictures, looks like I can remove the covers and foam, take off the supports for the side, and install a 1/4 ply between the hoops, and install the foam and cover. That should give me much better support. I should do the bottom while I am at...

If I pull the cover off, and the hoop is there, and still welded to the frame, Maybe I could but a piece of 1/4 plywood under the foam? This would maybe give it support between the hoops?

Am I going to find anything better and the local JY?

how is the seat back on an 03 SXT made?

I do not have any support on the back of the seat, so it feels like I am in a cup. After 1500 miles in 3 days I am dead. and have to fix this along with some other issues. I found this post http://forum.2gn.org/viewtopic.php?t=9200&highlight=seatback+support about the seat back. But when I add foam ...

couple questions, I do not know if they are related or not.

I have been having hard starts lately, so I pulled the plugs and they are NGK-P plugs, they were covered in white ash. looks like ash from a fire. (go figure) What can cause this. do I just change them or what? also the heater issues that I have been having. I pulled the radiator cap, and ran the ca...

car is now gutless... what do I check?

So in an attempt to fix the heater problem, and because I felt it needed to be done, I changed the coolant on my 03. I also removed the battery, and blew the heater core out with water, and put it all back together. It also has had a miss at idle, so at the same time I used brake cleaner and compres...

they are not common in the car here, they seem to be pulled. But I have found them on occasion.
So the hunt begins, and I need some items for the 1G that I need to get on the road.

I will look at all dodge/chrysler cars/minivans.

I need a jack and lug wrench for my car before my trip after the first of the year.
How do I tell if a jack can be used on my car, if I can find one in the JY.

how do I get to that without removing the entire dash like you have done?
Can I see anything by removing just the vents in the center, and maybe use a mirror?

Maybe this is why the previous owner sold the car
