Factory freak PCM?!
Finished my MTX swap and just got back from a quick run and found out my ATX PCM revs to 6,700 rpm. It hits 6,500 and goes a little past then it cuts the engine. Is that normal? I thought and have always thought we needed to switch to a MTX PCM to get a higher shift. Mine is a 2000 PCM so..... _____...

Well I was impatient and used the SOS pad with great results. Very smooth adhesion primer coat, base coat and finally Upol #1 clear. I'll have pics up later after polishing. As far as the SOS pad goes I didn't get scratches deeper than 1000 grit would have done. If it chips off later, which I doubt,...

Paint prep with an SOS steel wool pad?
I ran out of 600 grit to prep before using primer on my new urethane parts. Can a commercial SOS pad work to give the primer something to bite into? Need help fast or wife will kill me.

Well got the 3.94 tranny swap in the works. Had to swap bellhousings to a cable clutch style so need to check differential bearing endplay and turning torque. Ring gear bolts were a bitch to get off without an impact wrench so I had Rene's Automotive Center help and he did it for free. Props out. No...
