I have a 2002, its just the base model (it doesnt even have a letter classification). My ignition coil pack has gone bad and to replace it would be really expensive. I can get my hands on a 1st gen ignition coil pack....so my question is: will a 1st gen coil pack work on a 2nd gen???

I have a 2002 Neon and I have the engine flash code P0301. It has been running so-so for about a year, but in the last few days its gotten horrible. I've checked the coil pack, and its good. The spark plug wires are about six months old and the plugs about a year. Can anyone help??
