Where do I start?

I have a 2000 Neon, bare bones, auto. Lowering springs and 205-40-17's, 40 Series Flowmaster knockoff, otherwise stock. I really want to get some more off the line power, this thing is just gutless! There are so many options, where do I start? http://i459.photobucket.com/albums/qq319/jeremy_bartlett...

Installed the muffler, much quieter, so much nicer! I have not yet put the glass pack in, what difference should I expect with that?

Tonight I cleaned up that chrome fart can and installed it in my 95 Astro Van work truck, hahaha. The 6 cylinder in it actaully sounds really good with that muffler!

Bluemonsters 2000 Neon - Upgrading almost everything...

So it all begins a year ago this month, I will make it quick. My baby, a 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab overheated severely. Its finally running again and almost ready to be back in service. I drive my work van during the day, and the wife drives her 2000 Neon, but plans to start driving MY BABY when it...

He is talking about drilling a hole in the butterfly to simulate the butterfly being slightly open and raising the idle.

If the BT expands then it's not the restriction, the BT would be just before the restriction. Seems to me if there is a restriction, it would be the intake, causing the BT to expand. On second thought, it doesn't make sense that it would expand at all, there is no air being forced in through the TB....

My wife drives the car, and I'd also like to report that she is loving it, and even mentioned it felt a little stronger off the line. Bonus! I don't know if that is accurate, but it makes sense, I guess.

Yes and no. The butterfly is plastic, so o metal shavings. And yes, I did it while the TB was disconnected from the intake tube, blew it out and reconnected it.

I didn't take pics, it was about a 5 minute job, even with having to take it back apart to drill the second hole. I have an ebay instake, so it was just two hose clamps and the TB was free enough to twist around and get the drill inside. I installed the drill bit as far out of the drill as I could, ...

And I have to go with Diablo on this one. I drilled one hole, but it wasn't enough, so I drilled another. It put the idle into a very acceptable range, and I'm quite happy with it!

2.0 idle adjust?

My engine vibrates A LOT at idle, and I noticed today if I were able to raise the idle just a little, the vibration subsides considerably. I don't see how it's possible, with the throttle setup, am I missing something? How do I raise the idle?

I did a trans service today, and while shifting through the gears after startup, my wife told me the motor was moving all over the place! How much should I expect to pay for new mounts, and how difficult are they to install? I would just assume they are all in need of replacement, over 100,000 miles...

That would be cool. I work in Kent, but I drive my truck to work. The Neon stays in Kirkland/Bellevue 90% of the time. I live basically in downtown Kirkland, just a mile or so from the main area on the water there.

Engine vibration, cannot locate?

00 Neon 2.0/auto I bought the car with 17's and lowering springs, so the guy "may" have done something to the engine, I don't know. The vibration is constant, under no condition will it stop. It does not seem to effect drivability or runability at all. It bugs the crap outta me though, where can I s...

I think 20's are too much wheel for a small car. I have 17's on mine, and it rides like crap. I am putting 20's on my Quad Cab Dakota this month, but it's much bigger and will look scale.
