On inspection of the oil dipstick the oil was two thirds full and normal looking blackish oil. There was no milkshake or anything I wouldn't expect to see under the oil cap.

Cooling system issue!

I have suspect a cooling issue based on the following symptoms. My heater does not blow hot air until the engine is really hot. I've noticed abnormal sounds from the passenger side of engine aroung belts. It takes my car an abnormally long time to warm up on cold starts. I used the search and came u...

The exact same thing happened to my neon. Coil shorted and fried the pcm. They wouldn't honour my warranty because my car had mods on it, none of which were pcm mods or even electrical. I got stuck with an $1100 bill. I did all the calm, professional, and technical explaining I could come up with. T...

Air conditioning lines/pipes frozen

My care had been making some funny noises for about a week. Today after I got to work I looked under the hood while it was idling and foung all of the metal pipes from my ac were frozen with like a quarter to half inch of ice. Even metal canister against the firewall was frozen up. Wtf? Do I have a ...

Plus, long tubes will negate some of your low-end tourque. For this reason I'm going to take off my tti and replace it with a magnum piece. The long tube takes too much backpressure from the system. You need that to create a good tourque curve down low. At least this is my experiance. I started stoc...

Worn valve guides

I just performed a vacuum test on my engine and it looks like I've got worn guides. It explains all my engine problems like: excessive oil consumption rough to very rough idle slight rapid fluctuation on vacuum gauge loss of low end power (i think worn guides can cause this) my spark plugs look like...

How would you know if your getting adequate oil pressure to your lifters? Would there be alot of valvetrain noise. Mine has been noisy for so long I can't remember what normal sounds like. Plus I hear neons have noisy lifters anyway.

You don't need the mag retainers, just use your stockers. Titanium retainers are a waste of ALOT of $. Get mag or crane springs.

If your going to use an r/t pcm, your probably ok but there is a chance the crank trigger wheel on the crank is different from r/ts to base models. Also in case you accidently left it off your list you will need the gauge cluster from an r/t as well. I don't think you can just flash vin into the pcm...

Hey, guys. My car has no check engine lights, the battery has not been disconnected in probably 1000 miles and I can't get the computer to achieve readiness.

Anyone else have this problem. I haven't had a check engine light in a while.

Cool. No it's not ridiculous, but it is funny how it gradually takes more and more effort as I drive the car to disengage (to a point) the clutch.

Although in traffic if effen sucks. Your leg really gets tired, and I'm not out of shape either.

clutch pedal effort

Hey guys, after I've driven my car for about approx. 10 miles and the engine is good and warmed up (hot), I swear it feels like it's harder to push in the clutch pedal. I checked my fluid and everything is cool. It is a oem clutch and it's my 2nd. Nothing is slipping and no noises. So what's up?

Yeah, I know I need a dyno it to see where my max tourque curve is. But theoretically, how much can you adjust cam timing? If you move it too far one way or the other, will it run like shit or will valves crash into pistons? Thanks, Paul.
