Well I know for sure it's not related to the check engine light, I've been pulling those codes for a while before this started happening. The code happened after I swapped to power windows/locks I believe. And you guys really have to see this, as the entire car literally shakes and makes loud noises...

I did check for codes, and they're EVAP related. P0456 P0441 I'm guessing it's the injectors, I took a look at them and they look horrible. (tongue twister) I'm assuming I just need to replace them, however they're pretty expensive at an auto store. I'm assuming stock srt injectors would work fine? ...

Well this was happening before the spark plug change as well. But to answer your question, I used the default gap for the NGK plugs. Maybe I'll check that out.

Any other ideas?

Loud Noise/Shaking

I haven't posted here in a while but I've been having some trouble with my Neon lately. Whenever I accelerate, the car shakes and makes a loud noise. Not a screech or anything, just like it's having trouble accelerating. It seems to be coming from the front right wheel area. When I'm on the highway ...

I got the rods in a few days ago. I dropped the engine off with this guy locally who does engine work on lots of local srt's.

He said he'll have it done within a month(he's working on one engine right now). Once I get it back, I'll be ready to install it :)

I can snap you a pic tonight of what the Neon rack looks like. Looks like a typical rack but I'll try to get you a pic tonight. You shouldn't have any camber problems. If you dont' swap out the rack when you put the SRT brakes on, you'll have a toe problem. There should be enough adjustment in the ...

I already have the srt wheels on my car. So other than the actual brakes and everything themselves, I will only need the srt steering rack for the setup correct?

Will I need the k-member for the engine swap? I'm guessing not....

srt front brake setup

I'm closing in on doing my srt engine swap and I have a quick question. If I go ahead and use the srt steering rack/k-member, do I HAVE to use the srt front brakes right away? Or will my current brakes work temporarily?

Also, what exactly will I need to run the srt front brakes? Thanks

Ya I still need to get the rebuild kit in the mail. The orange plug off of my current 2003 neon may work, but if it doesn't I'll for sure take it off of your hands, let me know.

Shipping my throttle body and spacer off to DCR tomorrow to get ported to 55 mm \:D/

It's probably under the PTP vendor section on srtforums. I'm not a big fan of PTP myself, they're pretty low. Going into other sections trying to talk bad about other vendors, etc. Also, they took the South Bend clutch that I have and put their name on them and sell them as PTP clutches. Good deal t...

$3200 was a great price, but I understand if it was out of your price range.

I've spent $2,400 just on engine rebuild kit, intercooler, and clutch for my swap. Add in the engine/tranny, everything else, and I've spent more than I'd like to know. It should be a beast though
