Selling a car you have worked on and loved is hard...especially when you know every last inch of it. You don't need a CEL because any smell, sound, or judder that isn't quite right has you pulling over to investigate. It is almost like you are selling a piece of yourself. Best you can hope for is it...

I always tryto buy from modern first. Over the past 6 years I have ordered Vibrant muffler, UDP, 60mm TB, Rota Slipstreams, BC coilovers, Hotchkis sway bar set, boogers x2, hurst sts, headgasket set, prothane master bushing kit, and most recently Corbeau FX1 with custom slider. So at least $3000 and...

Thread revival and back to the original topic... I have an 03 sxt and had obx lth, aem cai, udp, and mpx 60mm tb and it worked great. When I add the pnp mag head, port matched mag intake with working butterflies, and a comp 400 I started getting the tps correlation error and limp mode. I swapped out...

MegaSquirt Plug and Play
I am not a tuner and dont really visit this forum cuz this shit scares the hell out of me, but saw that MS has a PNP option. If they get enough pre-orders they will develop a PnP system (most so far are around $800). I dropped MP an email to see if they would be interested in running a group buy if ...

NOS stickers are off the hood. Removed the Caswell stickers too. Have a small yellow dunlop sticker on each side behind front tire and a soloracer.com sticker. Also installed a Corbeau FX1 (see product review forum for details). Next step? Still want to redo the exhaust. Want to pull the head and mi...

Well, "cheaply" would be milling the head, but then you need to get an inexpensive adjustable cam gear(s) to bring the cam timing back in line. Or some decent used pistons, but then there are the related costs of doing that properly. Really no cheap method, unless you take your chances with backyar...

I hacked the shit out of my seat. Took an angle grinder and took off the back 2 pedestals and cut the front 2 down to about 1/4-1/2" and then went to put the sliders back on. But the bar you have to lift to slide the sliders was hitting the bottom lip of the seat. Take off all the upholstery, cut a ...

got the Corbeau FX1 installed today. Went with the rails and it does raise the seat a bit. Going to call Corbeau tomorrow. They mentioned shaving the pedestals on the bottom of the seat to lower it slightly. I want more info before I start hacking at my new seat. Here is the info and my initial revi...

Seat is in and I am sweating like a mofo (104° outside). I took a bunch of pics with the iphone...will have to load later. This is the FX1 (medium size). I have a 38-40" waist and it is a good fit. I actually can squeeze into the FX1 Pro, but there is a suction sound when I pull my fat ass out of it...

Corbeau FX1 in 2003 Neon
Ordered it from Modern (saved $50 over any place else) on Thursday, should be here on Wednesday, hope to have review up Wednesday night. I plan on taking lots of pics and some measurements for fitment questions as I could not find good answers when I searched. I went with the double locking sliders....

Re: Maddog 52% shifter
... I have a buddy here in town who has the hurst and his has the "squishy feeling" even with boogers that a lot of owners have complained about. We all love the hurst name but imho the maddog is a better product. My Hurst STS is the old one (2006 time frame), not to be confused with the one that i...

It is doing it again (stuttering at steady throttle below 4k rpm). Gonna swap tps today and see if that works. I usually toss a bottle of lucas injecter cleaner in a few times a year, hoping it is not the injecters. Wish the damn thing would throw a code so I know where to look. I also noticed the g...

Pulled the old stock coil and put the granatelli coil back on. Pulled the valve cover and verified that my mag cam springs are in fact mounted all willy nilly (not too worried about it). Valve cover was leaking a bit so i tightened and then over tightened it (snapped a bolt). Luckily it left a nice ...

swapped the wires and no change. Swapped the coil and it not much change if anything. Going to reset the PCM this morning and continue to mess with it. Will also try the TPS sensor. I see a lot of people having issues with the cam sensor, but I am not getting that code. Oh, well more digging today a...

Sputtering and stuttering 03 sxt
So my 03 SXT started to buck at low rpm (cruising thru parking lots and residential areas). When cruising on the highway I could feel a little stutter but only in a narrow rpm window. I figured it was the heat (less dense air) was giving the comp issues. I backed my cam timing off from +4 to +3 and ...
