Re: Random posting

That would look pretty great, but my favorite is the one-year-only 2008 nose. Looked mean... then they axe'd the car.

Re: Midnight_Rider's progress log

Just to throw it out there, I will be getting rid of my Neon this year. Currently installed is an extremely-good-condition PT Cruiser leather shift boot, which is beautifully color matched with the Neon interior. I would really love to see this end up in your car, David. I know you're leary about pe...

Happy belated! Great to hear about your haircut. You must be in the sweet spot now where you still have enough hair, but don't need to pay full price to maintain it. Ain't life great?

Re: 2018 Carlisle Official Thread

We had the "3 car" tent instead of the "4 car" tent. It was pretty packed with people. We didn't place in the top 3 clubs, but Ed mentioned us in the top 5 as of noontime Saturday. Weather was good. Daytonas were back-to-back with the Neons, so it was awesome for me. I brought the Neon this year for...

Re: A/C Issues

Check the pressure switches on the refrigerant lines. When the system is charged, the pressure switches should read dead short across the terminals. If they don't, either the system is too low on refrigerant, or the switch itself is bad. If you don't have a multimeter to check them with, you could a...

Re: Dodge/Chrysler News

If it was time for new ownership (which seems perpetual at this point), I'll gladly take Hyundai. I'd certainly have chosen them over Fiat. My ultimate would be Mazda, but that will never happen. I really think they're the only company that could bring a good, sporty small car back to Dodge. I can d...

Re: Manny's 96 turbo coupe: update 6/26/18

100% agreed the new headlights look way better. I always thought projectors looked goofy on cars that obviously came with a standard beam from the factory. A 2g Integra, or even my wife's Mazda3, they look good. Looks so much better but everyone knows I like the OEM look. Not too many people do the ...

Man that scratch has me... well... scratching my head. Even if it was done at manufacturing, you'd think it might have worn itself in a little bit by now. The rest of the bore looks ok, at least from the photo.

Re: Random posting

I will say. It was ferrying because people in Ohio seem to not notice someone going slow. I was going 45 with my flashers on and people were hauling ass up behind me going 80+ Must be a latitude thing because MA is the same way. Then again, in MA, it's pretty rare to see someone doing less than 80....

I looked at that picture thinking it was a joke. Holy crap. I didn't go back through the project log, but did you drive this car home or trailer it? Luckily parts are still cheap and plentiful. It shouldn't be too bad to get back up and running. At least it's the passenger rear and not one of the ot...

Caraudioholic Mike had a new axle let go on him one year at Carlisle. He wasn't even horsing around at all. He was just taking off at an intersection normally.

Meanwhile I haven't had any problems barking 2nd gear with 213k-mile original axles. 8)

This one is a white 4-door, 440 automatic. I wonder if it was a police cruiser with a setup like that. I don't know what he's got for carbs, but he drives it 3 seasons a year.

I cannot wait to see all of you again! This show has been the highlight of my year for over a decade now. Daytona has been out of hibernation for a week now and all is good. Very good actually. Now I have to polish up the Neon. It's going to be a day-of decision for me. Ran into a buddy of mine over...

Probably a bit more accurate, and that applies to any car manufacturer. The sad part is the "imports" probably have more american made content than the "domestics". Truth. Last I checked (a few years ago), the Hyundai Sonata was the most "American" new car in America, parts and labor combined. I wa...

+1. It's almost certain that my Neon will not see 2019 in my ownership. That car means the world to me and I might give it one last time in the spotlight, rust and all.

On the other hand... racecar.

If the computer isn't seeing a signal from the cam sensor, it definitely will not run. Check all around the cam sensor and check the connections. You might even want to try having someone slowly move the wires around while the car is cranking to see if it's a loose/bad connection. If the computer al...

Re: How-To: Fix a Broken Door Check (save $30-40)

Wish I knew about this before mine tore itself to shreds. However, in the process, I did learn that the checks are physically interchangeable left to right. The only difference is the direction in which the rivets are installed (fear of falling out I guess). It was a lot easier to find a good passen...
