Re: Future 2gn meets....

I actually have a friend that goes to that event every year. Obviously, it was cancelled this year so they didn't make it out. I'd like to check it out someday.

Re: Random posting

The lady and I got tested for Covid last weekend. Came back Negative. Got tested due to my supervisor testing + and I was in direct contact with her. Everyone in my work area got tested, all negative, thankfully. But more people are testing + in different areas I am hearing about. :( Hey what do yo...

Re: Random posting

In a funny turn of events, Christy had to get a learners permit today and then was able to get her license after taking a driving test. She took it in Frank’s car. It was 3 right turns and one parallel parking job.

Re: Random posting

Well I never bought the racelands since the seller was a flake. But I did find Gabriel struts for sale on rock auto for $9 each. I had to buy two “left rear” struts but since the car doesn’t have a rear sway bar it doesn’t rightly matter :D Here’s a funny post from my Instagram, I think some of y’al...

Re: Random posting

Me too! When I bought my first 2gn I was convinced I needed a black car because I always wanted one. But I almost bought a graphite car instead. So I drove it to work on Wednesday and one of the struts decided it didn’t want to do its job anymore lol. I found a guy selling some srt4 racelands on Fac...

Re: Random posting

Turns out it was the front caliper slider pins being a little stuck. I changed the front pads while I was at it and it works out great. Then today when we were in Gettysburg the clutch pedal dropped to the floor and I had to drive home with almost no clutch input. The old slave cylinder cracked, a f...

Re: Random posting

It still doesn’t know how to act apparently. Since I swapped the rear brakes I’ve been fighting a soft pedal. Recently I got a bunch of air out but the pedal is still really soft. I bought a power bleeder recently and tried using that. I now have clear fluid to all 4 corners of the car but the pedal...

Re: What would you replace your Neon with?

Assuming I’d have to replace my daily car and not my fun cars, I’d probably pick a 2020 Toyota Corolla hatchback. You can get them with a 6 speed manual and have toyota reliability. If I had to replace my SRT? It would probably be an older omni. Something I could still drive to work once or twice a ...

random update: 10 months later, Franks car will be on the road Friday. I did the rear disc swap using parts off of Scott Long’s car and 1gn rear calipers and when the car had a dead alternator and a mushy pedal when I was done I gave up for a bit. I finally replaced the front 2 brake hoses and the a...

Re: Random posting

Went to Carlisle and hung out with people there in the parking lot, but as far as the fairgrounds I didn’t do my normal walking around. I avoided big crowds of people I didn’t know. It was strange, definitely not as packed as the last few years. Also, I bought a harbor freight tire mounting tool yes...

Bunch of my friends have caught corona. One guy is 4 months out of being cleared for it and is having issues still with his breathing and strangely getting fluid built up on his spine. My work went back to a one week on/off schedule and there is 3 phases of reintroducing workers. I love the farthest...

Re: Random posting

Damn Jeremy that's a great deal! I know real estate in Washington is blowing up like crazy right now. I bought my house in PA for $180k, but I got a loan for $225k to cover a lot of upgrades I had done, the septic system being a big chunk of change of it. I do love where I live, it's very secluded a...

Re: Happy birthday INVUJerry!

Thanks y’all! It was a calm day. I got called back into work today but I still managed to get some stuff done at home. Last week I finally hooked up the power in the garage I had electricians send out there like 3 years ago. It’s really nice having a reliable source of power now.

Re: Random posting

Well, thanks to Facebook I found the old owner of my NYG today. He was very happy to hear the car is still around, even if it’s not currently running.

I decided after that to go outside and clean out my garage. Ended up hurting my back but I got the confetti seats cleaned up again.

I definitely gained some weight since I’ve been off work for a while and have had a slight uptick in drinking. I’m still less than my heaviest but damn.

Doesn’t look like I’ll be working this week so I plan on finally getting my ass in gear and working on some of my cars.

Re: Avoid Grubhub

There’s only 2 places we really order out from, a pizza place and a Chinese food place. But since the Chinese food place is next to a grocery store that sells beer, I usually go and pick it up. Lately the Chinese food place is only taking orders over the phone and having you pay with a card, and the...

I’m not quite sure how grubhub is being paid for a free delivery, but the drivers now get a few cents per mile, plus a few cents per minute for drive time. Most rely on tips. Now that people are opting for contactless delivery a lot of people aren’t tipping, since they don’t need to see the driver f...

I did have to go get a salvage title. I would have to get an enhanced inspection done to put it back on the road but the car isn’t in the best of shape. I bought it to be a donor for Jonny’s car and now it’ll get to fulfill that prophecy.

Re: Random posting

A few weeks ago a cop backed into our $200 PT Cruiser. A 2gn guy did me a favor and wrote the estimate up pretty high so it would be totaled. I bought the car back and ended up with $2000 in my pocket. I ended up buying a 2000 suburban. It has a lot of miles and some rocker rust but the interior is ...
