OK, now that you've given a bit more history of the car and a general location....I'm not a Neon history expert. But your description of an air assembly thingy...Is this a California emissions WITH an air pump that will send exhaust back into the Intake manifold for reburn?????? Don't recall that th...

Re: Can't get away from Neon's

I used to often change cars, so rarely named them. The only one I can remember doing so is our 98 Avenger ES that I did name GEM. Sadly it is sitting in hibernation and in need of substantial work IF called into action again(brake lines, struts,EVAP leak) I still start and move her around in the dri...

Re: Can't get away from Neon's

Well LUNA and son's girlfriend are still "dorming it" at college and both doing well. Her classes are all "on line" and no "student teaching" placements for the semester, as was supposed to be. LUNA is doing fine out in the paved parking lot and gets an occasional drive out for food supplies as the ...

YES, Let us ALL never forget that falling asleep in a harvesting crop field IS dangerous to your health. EVEN if you have a legal firearm and hunting permit.

Hypocrisy and "evil" playbooks??? Have you bothered to see what the DEMOCRAT leadership trump has to TRY and work with have done for the last 4 years???? or don't they matter?????
YES it is best that on an automotive forum that "politics" be best left out...even on an "off topic" page.

I KNOW...more work to do...but... How about adding an accent color around the rim bead area to contrast? Gold or Silver maybe???? With a Black car, black rims and tires is just a bit too much for my tastes. With the right accent color and amount of area used, I think the Gray main color of the rims ...

Actually...it COULD work just the opposite way. Look what happened when Dems called for the boycott of Goya foods, their sales and profits went UP. Trump may have his "cake" and eat it too. I just can't wait till Nov. 4th(or whenever they can declare a winner) and just deal with the ramifications of...

Sorry to say this, BUT.... I've never had much luck with Goodyear tires working well with any of the many cars I've had. So I have not "supported" (by further purchases) for some time now. ANY place I've worked has had a NO POLITICAL or current "justice" FAD clothing or speech while "on the clock". ...

Thanks- I've never owned a car this long. It is quite amazing, especially since yours is still in such a great shape. Mine turns 21 this month and I now own it for over 17 years. So it reached drinking age ;-) So, when are you going to upgrade it to run on pure alcohol...like the BIG BOYS ???? ROFL...

Re: Can't get away from Neon's

Glad the Neon is doing good! Luna is now checked into college TODAY! Her owner is now a Junior and has a single occupancy dorm room. Rules prohibit visitors, so son can't go visit her very easily or often. Somehow I have a feeling that we will have a weekend visitor here probably every other weeken...

To be sure...within the next year there will be many "repo's" available! People tend to "over buy" when money and financing is easy, forgetting the long term costs to finish paying for something.

Re: Can't get away from Neon's

Been a month since last posting... Luna is doing quite well and looking sharp and has only used 1/2 quart of motor oil in the 2k miles that the young lady has put on it since getting it. Going to swap the radiator fans and accumulator for A/C from my son's Neon this weekend. Last time Luna was up I ...

Re: What would you replace your Neon with?

Well, we've already just done this. Although my son has had his base Neon for 5 years now and NY (buffalo) rust gremlins have eaten away the outer rockers and lower door skins. He loves his Neon to death knowing what all he's put it thru(and documented on the forum). But I found him a 2011 3.6 AWD J...

Re: Intermittent buzzing type noise as I drive over uneven roads

Depending on where you hear the noise from, yes it could be something with the exhaust. Just that lack of location of it makes it hard to offer more specific advice. Could be a loose clamp/hanger or even a heat shield. Also check the upper and lower front motor mounts for torn rubber inserts. excess...

If you are into aviation, the museum here has a lot to see. So much so that you cannot see it all in one day. I grew up working on cars professionally, took a few years "off" to join the USMC and was an engine tech on the A-4M Skyhawk from '77-81. My claim to fame is that I worked on the very last ...

Dayton... Depending on how "West" you are, about 4 plus hours away... OK... Like how they class big suburb villages here that lay in a major city metropolitan area. Tested with pvc and it’s definitely the part. I’ll grab the new mopar replacement since it’s ... the same price as an hour for them to inspect it, which was going to be my next step anyway. Been shooting for ‘stock within 10% of all factory limits’ as stage one on the project anyway. Afterward I ge...
