you're gonna need a a wiring harness like this one if you don't want to take a risk of melting your factory wires or even worse, starting a fire.

most noticeable difference is that the srt-d is missing the nostrils. pretty sure the lip is different too.

i think all 2000-2005 hoods are interchangable (srt included). the only fitment issue you might have is a gap by the bumper because the srt hood has a slightly different curve in the front.
