No special tool. Just a wrench.

There are 4 bolts that hold the flywheel to the flexplate. Then you can take the flexplate off the crank. That's it...

First off, I just want to clarify: Less preload on the WGA = less boost As you compress a spring the force required to keep compressing it increases. So the more you preload the WGA the more force it takes to open the wastegate, which means you build more boost before the wastegate opens. You want l...

Was there alot of space to fill in the main motor mount? It's been a while since I've looked at one, I can't remember. Any ideas how much urathane it took to fill all four? The voids in the motor mounts where about the same as the voids in the torque struts. The batch of urethane that I mixed up wa...

How are you going to get prssed fit pin rods to work with floating pin pistons? You need rods if you go with aftermarket pistons. So ALL aftermarket pistons are floaters? That's definitly something to consider though. If the pistons you want are floaters then you'll obviously need rods to go along ...

For N/A, no. You won't need rods.

Stock CR is 9.8:1. Just going to 10.5:1 you may see a little gain, but not much.

Even if you go really radical N/A you'll still be hard pressed to max out the stock rods.

Factory crank ballance

I just got my block, crank shaft, pistons, rods, and flywheel back from the machine shop, and as it turns out, the crank shaft was already perfectly ballanced from the factory. The JE forged pistons, and Eagle rods were also perfectly ballanced from the factory as well. I was kind of surprised that ...

Alternators need a small source of electricity to get the whole process started (initially excite the coil windings). Once they're running and producing voltage they don't need that supply anymore. Generators don't need anything external electrically, just turn them and you get power. Actually you ...

The v3.0 pcb is the same board regardless of which processor you get (MS1 or MS2). So... if you really want to get MS now, you can get MS1 and then if you're so inclined you can upgrade to the MS2 processor later on. As I mentioned before, the MS1 processor is only about $8, and the MS2 processor is...

Could be the starter relay... if you're not even getting a "click" when you turn the key, then your starter relay isn't energizing. I'd check all the fueses too. If you verify you're getting voltage to the starter and still nothing is turning, then yeah, the starter may be shot. It sounds more like ...

when u get ms is there a baseline to start off with? There are base maps available (I have some for N/A and turbo), but the best starting point is just to use the table generator in MegaTune and go from there. The map I have is too rich for my setup. I decreased my enrichments and the car leans out a bit, but not alot.
