These are splined bolts, so you don't need to hold the backside to get the nuts off. Using a regular bolt/nut will make you hate life. So is that why I hate my life and it sucks ??  Well, you can use a 'regular' nut / bolt combo, like I have done... BUT then. you'll need to have a ratche...

The fronts are noticeable, but not as much as the rear due to how close the towers are to the firewall. The rears don't have a lateral part of the body so close to help with rigidity. :!: That's as good a 'technical' explanation that I've heard on this topic.... And it makes sense. :) Thanks !! - N...

Please explain why the rear strut bar makes more of a difference :) I don't know the 'technical details', but it has to do with the stiffness of the unibody. It may have to do with the location and geometry of the rear strut towers. Based on my own experience, and what I have read from other Neonit...

Probably depends on how much turning you do. If you have ATF +4 in there, probably less of a need. I agree with Bill. :withstupid:  Keep in mind, that all the 1st gen Neons, ran without P/S coolers - And *most* owners, never had a problem. Notice that I said, "most" owners. :quot...

Re: Radiator Hoses
Anyone know of good aftermarket radiator hoses for the 03 2.0 Neon? I'm looking for preferably colored silicone ones. I found this one but dont know if it'll fit. "Gates HK13RB Blue Racing Hose Kit" Like this one ?? http://goo.gl/kxajGr I believe it's the same kit that I have on our 2nd gen Neon. I...

Yup it's a 2000 (my favourite besides the 05 srt) and thanks for that I don't have to get any body computers or anything extra like that? No - no 'body computers' or anything like that. :) Just find a 'donor trans' (or valvebody) and go with it. :) For a 2000 Neon .... You should be able to use an ...

Regardless.... If you have the heat 'on' in the red zone, the defroster should be putting out warm air.....Not cold. The fact that the heater seems to work fine, and direct Hot air at your feet, indicates that the thermostat is working O.K. My guess is that there is something wrong with the heater c...

Also does the air recirc run by cable or vacuum on a 2003 SXT. There is no drag when switching it, so I am hoping that is normal. If I Recall Correctly ..... The cabin controls are run by vacuum. :| I am guessing that is where the issue is. After the cabin (finally) warms up, your controls get "uns...

Re: ULEV manifold swap? And a cam sensor question
Hey guys, first post here. The g/f has a 2000 Neon and it's super sluggish and runs a little rough. It's not throwing any codes though. I've made a lot of fixes so far (Spark plug tube fix, Plugs/wires, coil pack, TB/IAC clean, etc). I'm also in the process of checking for vacuum leaks. It's a ULEV...
