what is the purpose of a catch can... ive seen such threads all over the place but they all assume that you will know wtf it is in the first place :p

i read one thread that said the catch can will smell like ass... so why would anyone want one? :p

cool thanks

now i just got to decide quickly if i want to stay with the 14" or go 15" with new tires... i dont know if anyone would buy my 14" toyo and i spent way too much on them to take the loss

14" rims = ~200$
15" rims & tires = 344$ + 45 for the lug nut set if i get it..

i had originally looked at the GR2's also since they were a low price replacement... then i read a few threads about them in combination with any type of lowering spring... the consensus seems to be that these are NOT the struts to use when you lower the car... they blow out very quickly you can fin...

yeah i saw those kits on ebay after i posted also saw some VOGTLAND springs for $130.. seem to have good things said about them on this forum i could probably swing the $ for either springs (the tok kit or the tok struts + vogtland springs)... 4 new struts and springs all for less than Midas wanted ...

thanks for the additional comments unless there is a low cost combination of springs to get with the tokicos for a good ride ill probably just stick to my stock springs after reading a few things i wouldnt totally mind a little bit of a drop in the wheel well but since ive got 14" wheels anyways it ...

i dont think changing the size of the one wire and not any other would have any negative affect on the rest of the system.. +12v is +12v regardless of the size of the wire.. resistance .. i dunno.. still dont think it would matter i think ill be ok just changing out the terminal clamp wire to the st...

finally a reply :) thanks for the info i did some searching on the dropzone in the forum and concluded that they wouldnt be worth it and it seems that tociko struts are a little more suggested over the kyb's and roughly the same price so i might do those instead.. not sure though. at least with the ...

when they said look under the dash they might have been referring to the control module not neccesarily fuses i dont actually know how an alarm is wired up but i dont think it would be too different than a remote start.. and my remote start's control module is under the dash...... all the wires plug...

i want to change out my positive battery cables at the same time as i upgrade the ground wires (and get a new battery)... mainly because they are crap and corroded and need new terminal clamps too... i had thought of this a while back when i posted about changing to a side post battery but never got...
