The $150 +/- oil filter
When I saw this oil filter in a magazine I expected it to be a higher cost than your regular 'ol FRAM.. but I really didn't expect it to be THAT high.. Have you heard of TruFilter before? It's a washable oil filter much like your washable air filters... Trufilter Oil Systems is a revolutionary desig...

these tires will fit these rims, yes?

i had originally looked at the GR2's also since they were a low price replacement... then i read a few threads about them in combination with any type of lowering spring... the consensus seems to be that these are NOT the struts to use when you lower the car... they blow out very quickly you can fin...

what to do about bushings
this is more of a financially motivated moral dilemma than anything else... ive read all the threads about prothane bushings and how they are better and easier to install and everything (which would be good--the easier install) but since im running a stock 2000 neon, that doesnt even look like anyth...

anyone roll with a suicide knob/wheel?
just wondering if ya do comments on them? i was thinking about getting one just for the novelty of it.. i have no problems whatsoever driving/turning with 1 hand as it is.. and honestly i think the knob would get in the way and would be awkward to use.. but whatever.. lets put aside that i think the...

yeah after looking at 2awg cable at lowes i decided ill go with 4awg.. 2awg is not flexible or pliable whatsoever and would not make for a good mod.. heh ran into a dilemma though.. i cracked the plastic housing off the starter connections and found that its not a standard type of connection.. its l...

i dont think changing the size of the one wire and not any other would have any negative affect on the rest of the system.. +12v is +12v regardless of the size of the wire.. resistance .. i dunno.. still dont think it would matter i think ill be ok just changing out the terminal clamp wire to the st...

i'm not too mechanically inclined. i did my axle and that took a lot longer than it should have.. but thats partly because i was using hand tools, didnt have the best tools for the job.. and it was a 90 degree day.. im at something like 115K and youre "supposed" to do the timing belt at 100K, but th...

how do you choose a mechanic?
open ended question i guess mechanics are $$ to begin with.. labor is definately not cheap.. but how do you get a mechanic to do what you want them to do, not do what their policy is.. i.e. when i called a couple places about doing my axle they would not use an axle i supplied.. they would only use ...
