i worked at UPS as a loader...... big packages were fun to kick. especially the moo cow Gateway computer boxes.. no joke either when i was training the supervisor trained us to make a box fit into a hole in the wall of packages, and he demonstrated by smashing up a customer's box so it would fit. yeah that would work, but then id have to remove it when i wanted the light.. heh im thinking of somehow incorporating a 3 way switch like most cars have im no electrical genius but if the dome light IS a fuse for the door/whatever then wiring up the 3 way switch so that +12v only goes to the light ...

If i may be so bold as to ask, why do you want to do that? the only purpose i've ever figured out to do that is to not be identified when doin cruddy/illegal shit in the car such as drug transactions. depending on what kind of bulb it is, you might be able to replace the stock lamp with a 12 volt l...

maybe you changed your driving habits without realizing. gunning the engine and petal to the metal frequently will drain the gas tank.

i also typically get around 280 miles per tank depending on my driving habits.. cant say its been as low as 139 though...

not sure if my title is misleading... what i want to do is (without removing the bulb [which is actually my LED array, not bulb]) be able to prevent the dome light from turning on when i open the door(s) whats the best method of achieving this? most cars have switches to keep the light off, i guess ...

yokohama avid trz got good reviews. i liked them while i had them except i got a size that didnt like, and instead of just changing them to the right size i took toyo spectrums.. but i really wanted the trz's

hehe. those first bulbs look exactly like the ones i got from ebay. and mine have started to die/flicker now too after maybe a year or so

if i end up changing them out ill just go back to stock bulbs i guess because its really not a big deal for me. my car is so messed up
