I think my TO bearing is on the wait out. It chattered until yesterday when it really started chattering and smoking and then stopped adn is really quiet now. Is there a way to do the TO without dropping the whole tranny?

run hijackthis and do a search on things running and once you find the culprit you may have to boot into safemode adn delete the file. It sounds like a an .exe and .dll that is running in he background. Spybot search and destroy may be able to find and quarantine it.

then I would check for HG leak. When you get the flush see if there is oil in the Coolant. When you first posted i thought HG problem.

I saw like 2-3 mpg and some fouling on the spark plugs. I would definitely try the flush first with a stock t-stat

on a non modded car 180 T-stat may cause your engine to use more gas. I did this few years back and I started getting crappy gas mileage, switched back and the gas mileage improved. I would get a stock t-stat and a coolant power flush.

Hey fuzzy IMHO to make easier to fill I would have used some double sided tape. Aluminum or steel flat stock on the back of the bumper and rivets.

if those are the aluminum valve caps on the car please tell me you put anti-seize on first. Otherwise after reading this thread please put anti-seize on it. the galvanic response from the aluminum and the brass on the valve stem will freeze the cap in place. a little FYI

Anything from Pioneer, Sony, Alpine, Kenwood, JVC are decent to good and are relatively inexpensive. A decent one from all these manufacturers run 200ish and the other things you need for install will run maybe 20-30.
